IN May I found a site calle www.karmaloop.com. I ordered a couple products and when they arrived I was wholly disappointed in the Cheap Made in China bag I had ordered. i requested a refund and asked for a RAN Return Authorization Number and was told, in a chat I had, that the only way to send back was to pay myself. Since I now live in Canada, that meant $25 for a bag that weighed less that a pound.
Two weeks later I still had not received a second item and called them. It was then that i learned that Karma Loop, while hosting the site, and acting to process those orders, serves as an intermediary for several other companies here in the US. I couldnt find out what had happened to my item, and got silly reponses, not very pro-active, from Karma Loop staff. Then I started gettting the run around. When I was charged 36.00 for the two items i had received, I asked for a refund, eventually, because I had already shipped the item I didnt want, and had never received the other item. Yes, they were coming from two separate shippers, but I didnt know that, and no where is it mentioned on their site, at least not visibly.
To make a long story short, I was in a chat with service rep at Karmaloop and was told that I had to pay to have item shipped back. I later saw, and took a screen shot, that this wasnt true. So they still, to this day, denied paying me for the 16.00$ shipping for the item i never received, and they had me dish out $25.00 to have other item shipped to them.
Since I am a monk and disabled, that 35.00 is a hit to the wallet, but its the fact that this woman lied to me and the fact that they dont answer their phones ("we are having phone problems") that really irks me. Something is wrong about this company. In the very least, they lied to me, and then refused to credit me money i paid for a product I never got, and then had me pay for the shipping fees to get their product back to the company. Very bad.
To make matters worse, they kept blaming the other merchants, saying that they couldnt refund me anything until they had heard from the other merchant, but I had heard back from the other merchants, had forwarded the messages that I be refunded, etc., and still they kep me going back and forth for a month.
Companies like to say they are chill, and use new age words like "Karmaloop" but Karmaloop was certainly not interested in creating positive karmic actions with me, far from it, they in fact did the opposite, lying, withholding money they should have refunded, etc.
Beware. They are also deceptive when it comes to their prices, saying they wont accept returns of ON SALE items, but the truth is, if you do a search on their own website, that they have 40 pages of sale items on their web site, with about 30 items on each page, meaning most of their items carry that "on sale" appendage.
You may think you look cool wearing a T-shirt that says "Bad b***h" or a cap that says "f**k Bitches Make Money" but you sure wont create any positive karmic actions wearing them, and you might also get taken for your money. If you want quality bags there are lots of other places that sell em.
