After an online search led me to their website and to the instant love for a truck they had I began speaking to the owner by phone daily for almost a week and decided that I would make a 3 hour trip for the purchase of a new truck. The website had a price of $5,900 listed on the truck but I was told upon calling that the truck was actually incorrectly priced, it was supposed to be $6,300; however as a courtesy for the misinformation I would be given the web price and I decided to take it. I made the 3 hour drive for my SCHEDULED appt. and there was no one there once I arrived ON TIME! I waited 35 mins before they showed up, drove the truck and was told that there would not be anyway I was going to be getting the truck for the internet price, nor would I be getting it for the price it was supposed to be listed at, it was decided that the truck be priced at $8,000 (well $8,900 after taxes and fees!), I couldn't take my truck home!! I ended up talking to my wife and family members and was swayed to purchase the truck I already had so much time and energy invested in, after all the truck was not overly priced, just not what I was led to believe it was going to be priced at. I again made the 3 hour drive, signed the papers, paid the cash and collected my keys. Wellllll....I never recieved the title, I called and was told they would get back to me and would help however they could.....NOPE!! I couldn't get my truck registered, plated or even insured! As a result I was pulled over and my truck was impounded (no they didn't force me to drive this truck, however I had no other vehicle at the time and my wife was in the hospital!) and when I tried to get my truck out using my bill of sale and all of the other useless papers I was given, the impound yard said NOPE! I contacted the police chief to ask for help so that I didn't lose the truck due to fees and after looking at my paperwork, the recorded conversations and talking to the BMV to prove that I was the owner, he agreed to let me get the truck out but told me I couldn't drive it and that I had to call the state to ask for help in the matter. No one could help me, Karl's refused my calls, threatened to have me arrested when I would go to the lot and told the police I was harrassing him. I had a family member search the carfax and vin number only to find out that Karl's Automotive NEVER EVER even owned the truck, they never owned it and sold it to me!! After 2 years of the truck setting useless to me, a driver ran off the road and hit my truck while it was parked on the street (I moved it so that I could mow the yard) and it was hauled off because I was not supposed to have it in the street and this time I couldn't get it back, not that there would be a point because I have still not been able to get any kind of help!
