Purchased a new Banks Electronic Speed Brake PN 55448 with selector switch, in May of 2015. It was sold on Amazon by Juiced Motorsports. I installed it on our GMC 2500 HD pickup per supplied instructions in June of 2015. Shortly after installation it began causing the Allison 6 speed automatic transmission to randomly go into neutral while driving on the highway. I would have to pull to the side of the road and stop, put the transmission in park and then back into drive to reset the problem and resume driving. This happened twice while towing our 12,000 lb 5th wheel RV. Fortunately it did not occur while going down a steep grade where engine braking was required to control speed. If it had occurred under those circumstances, it could have been a life threatening situation. I removed the Banks Electronic Speed Brake from the truck and the problem no longer occurred. Clearly this product created a serious safety issue. While it was installed, I consulted with Banks Power Technical support multiple times in an attempt to resolve the issue. When Banks Power Tech support determined there was likely some kind of hardware problem requiring parts replacement, they refused to warranty the unit because we purchased it from Juiced Motor Sports rather than from one of their "authorized" re-sellers. Juiced Motor Sports did not reveal that they were not an authorized re-seller for Banks and that purchasing the product from them voids the Banks warranty. Juiced Motorsports refused to take the defective Banks Speed Brake back and refund the purchase price. I am still out the $645 purchase price due to Juiced Motorsports unethical business practice.
