I've heard every excuse from this guy, and can confirm all the other reports on him. He is the worst kind of human out there. Stealing from honest folks trying to restore classic cars. He preys on his victims at car shows, swap meets, craigslist and ebay.
He claims to have a chrome shop in orange county, but there is no shop. Do not give him your valuable parts or any cash up front. Do not do business wtih this thief. If you absolutely have to, make sure you trade your part for one that is already finished, but I don't recommend that either, because chances are you'll never hear from him again, especially if you have a problem with the finish.
This report is going on yelp and google also. I'm tired of your excuses Juan, or JT, or whatever your name is. He stole my rare trim pieces that sit around the convertible top of my '64 ford falcon. They don't make these any more! I paid hundreds of dollars to have these replated, not to be stolen. Now I'm out the $200, plus another $500 for the parts, if I can ever find them.
Juan Treminio did some chrome plating for parts including a bumper for a '55 Chevy. Then I sent a radiator support bar for plating, with a deposit of $200. This was approximately 10/1/2015.
He has ignored my calls. I offered to drive to his location and pick it up. It appears that he has sold my part, which is expensive to replace.
