We signed a contract with JTL on August 15 2014 to remodel our kitchen, install a motorized steel gate, and add some additional electric outlets in our garage. After countless delays and excuses, all that was completed was partial demolition of the old kitchen, some relocated plumbing and some minor electrical work. Jason agreed and amended our contract on December 12 to not complete the kitchen, but to refund our money we had already paid and to install the custom gate. After more prolonged delays and excuses with no work completed or refund issued, we sent JTL a letter requesting the promised refund and committed work or else we would be forced to seek legal recourse. We heard nothing but excuses. We then went to our church pastor, who called Jason and agreed to meet with us to try and resolve the matter. On January 27, the contract was signed by Jason Pilarcik and amended to refund us $14000 made in two payments and to complete the installation of the steel gate. And once again, our refund was not delivered nor was the gate installed as he promised. We feel like we have been more than patient and gracious to not take this to court, but now it appears to be our only option to recover what is rightfully ours.
In August 2017 I contacted Jason to ask about building a shed on my property. He came by my house and looked at what we were looking at having done. We were aware we were going to need to get approval from the HOA before beginning construction.
In October 2017 he contacted me and said we had approval from the HOA to begin the building of the shed. I then gave him an advance check of $6500. He had a subcontractor come over and put the forms in for pouring concrete. However the concrete subcontractor told me he would not be pouring the concrete until he got an advance from Jason.
Jason never gave the subcontractor an advance. And nothing further has been done in my backyard.
After multiple attempts to get Jason to pay the subcontractor so that he could finish pouring the concrete, I finally asked Jason to refund me the deposit and I would work with the subcontractor getting the concrete poured.
As of March 2018 after multiple times of being assured by Jason that he was refunding my deposit, my backyard is still tore up and I have not received any money back from Jason. He now wont even return my attempted communications.
Bottom line, I gave Jason $6500 and he walked away with my money. I wish that I had seen the previous comments on this website and other websites concerning Jason’s business dealings. I would’ve stayed away from him.
