A friend recently "adopted" a dog from Jr Pupsnstuff. The puppy that she received was touch shy and displayed unusual aggression that was not evident at the original foster home. As both I and my friend have both been dog breeders and owned kennels in the past, it was obvious to us that the dog had either breeding issues or had already been mistreated. This was severe aggression. This type of aggression was not the type you can "train" out of the dog. We tried every gentle approach we knew with this dog, and the result was that we were both bit. There was no way this dog could be trusted around other adults, much less children.
Within 33 hours of initial placement, Jr Pupsnstuff was contacted, and the dog was returned to a "volunteer". The owner of this "not for profit, animal rescue operation", Jean Rhoten , refused a refund, and accused my friend of animal mistreatment. Of course this response came in the form of an email days later, because she was bringing back another car load of dogs from "down south".
The dog has been placed back out for some other unsuspecting, well meaning soul to " adopt". Of course, you first have to sign a contract saying no refunds. Too bad for Jr Pupsnstuff that Wisconsin law has a 3 day contract out. My friend will probably be taking them to court.
This company preys upon people who want to help animals. Give your money to the Humane Society and avoid this operation.
This sounds suspiciously like a puppy mill operation. They will only accept cash or paypal, no credit cards. As yourself why that is.
