This is a rebuttal to the complaint made against joven facial serum. Unfortunately all orders of this nature have the same "small print" after order, it is a dirty trick, and if you are not paying attention, it can definitely get you. But as fate would have it, all things come full circle. Joven advanced facial serum is a good product, and i have personally ordered it now 3 times in the little 0.5 bottle. However today when i went to order $22.95 bottle, it seems the first page is joven, and when you click on "place your order" some company called le juene has hacked into their page and put their own brand too order on the next page. Absolutely no sign of joven after first page. I thought "well maybe joven has changed their bottle shape,or something, but got very suspicious when name was also changed. So i had already Idiotically) given all my info. Including credit card info, but backed out of acct. And said "leave this page" when they said you are not done, are you sure you want to leave?" i said leave page. When i went to my emails sure enough there was an email from le juene stating my order had been lost, stolen, etc. With a small charge involved. Furious, i called this company whoever they are, and demanded they take fee off. Cs rep. Said she was unable to comply and charge would stand. This all transpired in a matter of 40 minutes by the way, so i got joven bottle, called the number on back & asked if they had chaged name, etc. No, of course, so this other company are hackers, as when i threatened to call better business bureau, they suddenly had the ability to take off fee. It is a dirty trick, and all of the free offers for comsmetics, etc. Have this same small print at bottom, available to you only after you have given them all of your credit card info. Much to joven's shame, they also share in the guilt. My point is, the product does work, and if this practice can be changed, it is worth trying. In my case the real guilty party here is this company named le ju'ene is the company who is breaking the law, and joven was quite unhappy that their product was no longer available to order on their own website!! someone needs to take a look into this company.
I am actually following up on the report directly before mine from lady who saw ad in paper, & placed her ad from a newspaper type ad (on-line) I see in the small print from the company that they may change terms & agreements at any time, etc.
I was luckier I guess as I first saw adverisment on T.V. and was able to call Joven's call number. A customer service rep answered and took all of my info. over phone, including my card #. The ad stated " free sample's available for $4.95 shipping & handling charge only." There was mention of if I did not like product, I had two weeks to return, but not that the 2 weeks started the day of ordering. No mention of only being able to return if box had not been opened, or that the 14 days started the day I ordered. After reading the "fine, fine print" referred to the complaintent prior to mine, nothing was said about most of their policy to me, nor did I receive any info. with product, just the product in box.
I remember them asking me if I wanted to be on a 30 day automatic re-order which I would have never agreed to having never tried the product. Yet when I called to order another bottle today, they still had my credit card # on file, but would not order the product from their customer service #, said they could not & gave me an internet site to go to. It would not go through on site, so I ended up calling them back three times.
Finally, I reached a lady who admitted they had all my info, & C.C.# but would cost (rounded up) $90.00 for the same size bottle I had received on "free offer" for $4.95. When I reacted, she lowered the price to half that, and then finally said she would give me the same size bottle for $29.97 using her in-store discount, which I have no idea what that is, She was nice enough, nothing like previous cust. svc. rep. I spoke with.
I believe the products they sell or the one I tried ,are fairly good. The culpruts are in management, marketing & cust. service middle mgmt. I also think that stating in the small print that they may change policies and terms of contracts anytime without notification to customers is either illegal or boarding on such. Now I will be checking all debits on my credit card, to spot any red flag purchases.
I dislike giving my C.C. acct. numbers over the Net, it is a real easy way to ruin a person's life, within days, But if a persons only option is to use or don't get product, they take chances, I guess. I think this company should be audited or investigated or whatever type (if any) ls done. btw...the 1st Cosmetics.....another scam making billions
This company had an online offer to get a trial size of skin care cream and eye cream. Fee was only $5 to try their product plus shipping and handling. I ordered the trail on July 7, 2015. I tried it but was not thrilled and thought that was the end of it. Then out of nowhere 2 packages show up August 25th, 2015. I contracted them asking why I was getting the packages as I was not interested in the product and did not place a reorder. The man I spoke with was very rude and most likely due to the fact that he probably gets these calls all day long! I explained to him if I knew it was automatic reorder, I would never had ordered it, he stated very abruptly "well it was stated clearly online"!It was not stated clearly because I would never have ordered it if it was! Which if you have a good product that sells itself why would you have to be deceptive like this? He went on to tell me that they had charged my credit card $89.95 & $84.75 on July 21st, 14 days after I accepted the trial since I didn't phone them to tell them I wasn't interested and then went on to say that those charges would NOT be refunded! He also charged another $89.95 & $84.75 in August, which is the package I just got. I told him I didn't want the product and would be shipping it back to him, he stated that was fine but there would be a restocking fee of $14.95 for each package! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! But if that wasn't enough he then proceeds to tell me on top of that there will be another $3.90 charged to cancel-WHAT? I will be calling my credit card company next to advise not to accept any charges from them and see if I can deny the ones already charged! They are the typical online scum company that gives the good companies a bad name!
