I entered a contract to restore a vehicle including all body & engine work. An initial partial payment of $10,000 was given for work to begin and the purchase of an engine, transmission, and related parts. Work was to be completed in 8 weeks. All work was to be completed IN HOUSE. Instead, mechanical work was subbed out to other repair facilities. Paint work was also subbed out.
Josh Jessup gave excuse after excuse for not working on my vehicle. He stated the vehicle was painted but bubbles appeared in the paint and must be repainted. I observed the vehicle had never left Jessup Restorations to be painted and confirmed by his hired help. The vehicle was still in primer paint.
At 16 weeks, the vehicle was not completed.
A partially assembled engine and transmission were the only mechanical parts installed.
Some paint and body work was performed. Doors were not installed. Window glass is missing. Door handles and lock are missing. Additional body repair will be needed to complete the body work.
After being lied to over and over again, the vehicle has been removed from the premisis of Jessup Restorations and taken to another repair facility for completion of the work.
Repeated requests for a partial refund of deposit have been ignored. Requests for paperwork on the engine and transmission have also been ignored.
It appears the $10,000 deposit was used to repair other vehicles.
