On a board for new mothers, I was lamenting my current job as a daycare employee. A woman responded to me and told me that she felt for me and had a job opportunity for me, should I choose to work from home. She gave me her husband/boyfriend Jordan Hill's email address, and I contacted him about this opportunity. He told me about the job and enrolled me in a class to become a customer service representative.
The class was nine weeks long and completely unpaid, so I spent my days working at the daycare and four hours of my nights Monday-Friday in class.
I was concerned that my first paycheck was short, and that I did not get paid for all that I worked. After almost a week of back and forth with Mr. Hill, I was told that his decision on my pay was final. I was upset, but had already quit my job at the daycare and had no other job lined up. The next couple of checks were fine, so I began to think everything would be okay.
One month I did not receive my pay. When I contacted Mr. Hill, he told me he'd get back to me within four days. FOUR DAYS. Over a week later I was finally paid. I was upset about that, but there was nothing I could do. My next check was almost $200 less than it was supposed to be. I contacted him immediately and he told me, much as he had the first time, that this was what I would be getting paid. I contacted Partner Support, my QAPF, other IBOs, and some of my friends and was told by all that Mr. Hill was literally just taking my money and keeping it for himself.
I refused to work for him anymore. I asked to be released from his company and that was done. Mr. Hill still owed me two weeks of pay, as our checks were two weeks behind. I never received this money. I tried contacting Mr. Hill multiple times, eventually even via Twitter and Facebook. He blocked me on Facebook, letting me know he had no intention of paying me the money he owed me.
Jordan Hill took advantage of me multiple times and did not pay me for the time I worked. I will be filing civil charges against him, and hope to get my money. I told him that his lack of payment was affecting my ability to pay my bills and even my rent. Fully knowing that he was taking money from me that I earned and away from my children, this man decided to keep it all. He should not be trusted. His girlfriend/wife should not be trusted. They are truly just taking advantage of mothers who are desperately seeking a work from home opportunity.
