I too fell for the "free trial" for Jolique Skin Cream, and also opted to receive the Eye Serum, for a nominal $4.95 for "shipping". The next month, there were two charges to my MC, one for $$85.97 merchant listed as LLS*DELUXEEYE, and one for $89.97 merchant listed as FRG*SEACRETSKINYOUTH.
I promptly contacted my credit card and they told me that they have an some sort of "agreement" with FRG*SEACRETSKINYOUTH and they backed that charge out instantly. The other charge took about two weeks to come off. They are aware of this scam, they said they have a lot of customers that fall for it. They also told me they would block that company from being able to charge my card again, but I went to check my credit card statement for September and there was ANOTHER charge, this time for $94.94. I called my cc company and they are supposed to back this one out also, and are sending me yet another new card.
There is nowhere on the site that tells you that you are entering into a subscription service for these products. There is nowhere that says it's a trial and you have to send back the product if you don't want to keep it. It clearly states that it's a free sample. Yeah, right.
I've learned my lesson about ever giving out my credit card for "free" samples.
The website is a little suspect and Angelina's presence is completely absent. They offer a free trial for the eye cream for $4.95 shipping cost. There is NO WHERE on the site, the confirmation email, the receipt in the box, literally NO WHERE, that indicates this is a 2 week trial and if you don't send it back in 2 weeks you will be charged $89.95. I also ordered the additional cream that was peddled for shipping price as well. I was astounded today when I pulled up my credit card statement to see two charges of $85.97 and $89.97 on my card.
