As stated above I was told I owed $952. 82 from US cellular from 2007. They said I qualify for check garnishment even tho I only make $8.50 an hour and work 25 hours a week. Agent left the phone for a few mins and then said they would settle for $752. I asked him what company he was and he stuttered his words. I said what's your location ? He said Irvine , .CA. I told them that was long ago and they went out of business . I didn't owe that much. He said that I was to pay $125 a month. I told him $20 a month . He said they told him no and I was to make arrangements NOW and the least they would take is $107 a month. I said I have a mortgage and other stuff. He sent me back to his supervisor and I told her the same. And I will file bankruptcy. She said that takes time and they will have a judgment against me by then. I told them I would look into it and call them back. She said I need to pay them. Or they will. I said to do what they have to. I'll get back with you. Do what you have to. Thank God I didn't give in. They don't have my information.
US cellular Identified themselves as Johnson Roberts from Riverside Ca. They called a relative threatening that I had better call within two hours. I called and they said U S cellular had a bill for me from 2007. They said I cant send just a little but I had to send $125 a month . when I informed them that I only earn $8.50 an hour and 25 hours a week they said too bad. Theyll garnish my wages. I told them I would get back with them and have a mortgage and other things and will file bankruptcy that I will find out my rights and get back to them . I was suspicious . they had called my relative before and he didnt get the number but said the girl talked too fast. I figure it was scripted so I got online to check and here I am.
