John Shaw Reviews
I was contacted by an email from Christina who said her employer was moving to Valdese and needed help caring for her 2 dogs. She said she found my info on Care.com. I contacted her employer, Célia Needham. She emailed long detailed entirely believable emails for a couple of days stating she was 6 months pregnant and would not be able to walk or bathe the dogs. She offered to pay $300. weekly. She said her husband was sending a check for $2,995 and for me to keep $300.
The rest of the money was to go to her husband's store manager who would purchase the food and supplies for the dogs. A check for $2,995. arrived by FedEx. I became suspicious because of her English. My bank manager called the Fox Credit Union, and it was indeed a fraudulent check. The name John Shaw was listed under memo. The bank manager at Fox Credit Union said it was a scam and that they had had several similar calls about checks with John Shaw mentioned in the memo.
