Well I sure wish I had read reviews when I decided to spend alot of money with Joe.
I spent nearly $30,000 with him and I'm not a rich woman, rather a single mom who trusted him, his word, and his integrity. That was my mistake.
I had him do :
installation of 1500 feet of wood flooring
Granite fabrication and install for:1 large kitchen plus island, 3 bathrooms including a large master and laundry room
Tile install for my master bathroom
Install and purchase of marble windowsills
Joe was usually very schmoozy while he was trying to sell me each next portion of work, so I erroneously took this as he was a trustworthy guy. My mistake.
The floors always popped loudly and snapped and creaked when you walked on them. I was told this would go away. After only 9 months, I began to have trouble with my floors buckling. Initially, Joe came to look at them and assured me he would take care of it. Then, as he continued to put me off, my floors kept getting worse, until they literally split apart right down the middle of my living room. Now he was saying that it wasn't his fault, and finding others reasons to shirk his responsibility. In the meantime, I was having other contractors come look at it to try to find a solution. They all said the same thing. Removing different baseboards, there wasn't ANY room left between the floor and drywall. It had actually cut into the drywall at several places. Plus one contractor found shims that hadn't been removed after the install.
I ended up having to pay someone else to 'fix' the problem, but am left with a not very good result. Wish I had just had a qualified floor installer in the first place, who would warrantee their work!!
Joe ended up outright avoiding me, and when I would talk to him, he was completely belligerent.
Quite a shift from the savvy saleman.
I honestly don't know how he stays in business, or how he looks himself in the mirror for that matter.
