I met JOANNA LEA ALLEXIUS in Hong Kong in 2017. She is from Sweden (half Chinese and half Swedish). We met in a restaurant in Central where I worked and after several visits and conversations, she offered up a business proposal to help me develop an online app.
She had a China business registered under Starkberg Media Technology Company in Xiamen and acted under the guise of a professional businesswoman and app developer. She seemed to have the means and the proper knowledge to help start up the business with me. She even drew up a contract and arranged the paperwork.
A couple of months in, she requested an initial funding of HKD450,000 (USD58,000). We had several follow up meetings in Hong Kong and even a couple of meetings in her Xiamen office (Location: Guomeng New World, Siming Qu, Xiamen, China).
In fact, she had asked for more funding in due course which I refused.
Shortly after the initial funds were transferred, she disappeared into thin air and deleted all her social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn etc). All her phone numbers in HK, China and Sweden have also been disconnected or directed to auto message.
Word has it that she flew back to Stockholm though it is uncertain whether she has re-visited HK since her disappearance last year.
I found out through a company search that she and a business partner called Mr Hong, set up a company called Xiamen Dykan Media in May 2017. It is very likely that Mr. Hong got scammed too and I have no further information on him or the company.
She also had a business registered as Swenique ZZ Company which is a foreign investment company.
Conniving, thieving scammers like her should be brought to justice. They get away too easily and have most likely targeted many more innocent and unsuspecting individuals. She needs to be caught and get what she deserves!
