My debit card was locked on 5/23 due to fraudulent activity. $190 charge at store #1033 at Newport Center Mall in Jersey City, NJ.
I am handling it through my bank, but also called the store. I was told it's impossible because they always check ID. I kindly told them that they obviously don't, because I was never there the man pretty much called me a liar.
I didn't really expect anything from them, but an apology would have been nice, and maybe stating they would be careful in the future and actually check ID. I would never deal with them just because of their denial and deflection of a serious issue they obviously care nothing about remediating in the future.
I have an account from some prders that I did personally order in 2015 and from that order, or one of those orders we had a issue with returning a few things, which we never received any credit back for our return. So we just decided to not use Jimmy Jazz for anything again. Thankfully I am one of those people that checks their credit card bills every few months for activity that is not correct, as I did just that on March 23. 2016 and to my surprise I found that there was two charges being processed for$139.99 and $179.98 on the credit card that we had on our account that we set up online with Jimmy Jazz. I called our credit card and filed a dispute, which they were able to cancel the charge for $179.98, however I was told that we had to let the other charge through before our credit card company could do anything. So today April 1, 2016 I did file the last dispute on the $139.99, and I told my card company that I would call Jimmy Jazz to see how these charges were being made.
I called the 1-877-307-JAZZ(5299) and talk to a gentelman that told me that being that the charges where being charged from Jimmy Jazz #1033 NJ, NJ that the charges were charged at thre physical store, which I really don't see how being that we still had both of our cards... We cancelled and received new cards, it appears that someone that works for Jimmy Jazz and has access to their website with all customers info on is acessing peoples info (credit card info ) and charging at their store location purchases that are not from the people in which their credit cards are being charged. I would suggect that anyone that has ever used Jimmy Jazz and set up an online account with Jimmy Jazz to go back from the start of their account and check their credit cards for fradulant charges. Thanks.. C B
