I live in Green Valley Az. I purchased a brand new 2012 Ford Taurus from Jim Click Ford Green Valley in 2012. Since my purchase I have had to take it to Jim Click Ford several time for several reasons. I have been lied to and have had to fight for everything they have done on my car.
I am going to start with taking my car in on Dec.15/2015 after making a appointment to get all of my door handles fixed that were under recall, to get my gear shift fixed because the metal part came up for the second time and was cutting my hand, to get my oil changed and to get the right rear panel fixed on my car after they broke it putting on a shock over a year ago and which I have been fighting them to fix it or to replace it since.
They had my car over 24 hours to fix all of these things. In April or the beginning of May 2015 when I received my recall letter on the door handles I took the letter right away to Jim Click Ford to have them replaced since I had already had two brake on me and one of them was rattling. They told me then that they would have to order the parts so I said ok. I waited and then was told the parts would not come in until July so I waited. July I called and was told Ford is not sending them out yet so I waited. August I was told the same thing and I told them I did not appreciate having to drive around in a vehicle where the door handles could break on me at anytime or could cause me a lot of damage with the door flying open if I got into a accident. Finally in late September I got a call from my service manager Anna Dickerson that my door handles and gear shift was in so we set up an appointment to have them fixed two days away. Before we hung up she made a remark to me that she hopes they are the replacement parts and not the same parts that were on my car. I told her that I was not going to waist my time and gas if they were not the replacement parts for her to find out and call me back or I would not be bringing my car. She never called me back so I did not show up for my appointment. She call the next day and said Mable you missed your appointment and I said you never called me back. I at that time did not make another one because I had a busy schedule then I got really sick and could not plan an appointment and a ride to and from the dealership.
Yesterday when I took my car in and after I gave her my keys and they took it back she said to me I hope they haven't sent your parts back. I said excuse me when I called last week they told me they had my parts. Her reply is well we shall see. I felt this was very inappropriate and did not find it to be a good thing between my car adviser and I and like I said before I have been lied to by them several times.
After a few hours of them having my car I get a call saying I need a new battery. I said to them I do not understand why because it started right up when I took it to you and it started right up when they moved it to the back and my adviser said well it's Arizona . It's Arizona ? I told them that I was not going to purchase one from them and she seemed to be mad and tried to talk me into buying one. If I had not been lied to by them and jerked around i might have bought one from them.
On Dec.16/2015 at 2pm I received a call from my adviser Anna Dickerson letting me know my car was ready, the second day after the scheduled appointment. I asked her if everything had been fixed and she said yes. I asked her if all the door handle were replaced and she said yes. I asked her if the panel had been fixed and she said they secured it and it would never come loose again. I left to pick up my car right after that and arrived about 2:10 . They rushed me through my paperwork and my adviser never came out of her office even though she could see me outside with my car. I came home and read the paperwork to find they did not replace all four of my door handles. The left rear door had been replaced months before the recall with recall parts so they did not replace it. They secured my panel with 3M adhesive. Really glue? I am not a mechanic and I really do not know much about a car but I do not believe cars are put together with glue. The whole panel is loose now. I did put a call to my adviser who has not called me back and I really do not think she will.
This whole ordeal once again with Jim Click Ford Green Valley has given me a migraine and has made me sick to my stomach. My daughter sits on the rear left side of the car where they did not replace the recalled door handle. Glue does not last in the heat of Arizona so I expect that when it gets hot that panel will end up falling off. I paid over 34.000' cash for this car and expected it to be a good car and that I would get treated with some degree of professionalism and respect instead of lies and treated with disrespect.
While I was there to pick up my car, a mechanic came to jump start my car. I said to him I do not understand, when my car started right up for me and started up to be moved to the back could you explain what is going on. He looked at me and said I had to jump start it every time I moved it and walked off. His voice was not at all nice when he said these things. My 20 year old son was a witness to all of this. Now my car is sitting parked until I can get the money to buy a new battery so it will be a reliable to start up when I go somewhere. It didn't have that problem until I took it to your dealership for service.
Now to give you some back information, This is my second adviser because when my right rear shock broke over one year ago and they had to order a part for me my adviser told me it would be OK to drive the car to LA and back the way it is. I told my husband Paul this and he got really upset and said no it is not safe and called them up and emailed a few people until they gave us a car to drive to LA and back since my car would not be ready. Fixing my shock is when they broke the panel. I told my adviser and he looked at it and popped it back into place. I said that is not fixing it and he said he would order me another one. I have fought for it for over a year now just to have it glued.
When we bought the car and the service for life, the rule was every 4,000 to 6,000 miles between services, now you have changed the rules to 10,000 miles? I guess it doesn't say "timely" service for life.
My husband bought a new 2012 Ram 1500 from Jim Click Dodge in Tucson. Green Valley Ford invited him to bring it in for a service for life oil change. I recently brought it in to JC Green Valley for him for an oil change and a tire rotation. A while later, your service manager called me and said that it needed alignment pretty bad. I called my husband and he asked what the alignment readings were, or why did they say that since it was not pulling to either side. I called the service manager back and asked those questions. She replied, Oh, it just looks like it might need an adjustment- only $100.00. i refused and to this day it drives fine, and JC Dodge has made no mention of it. During that service of the Ram at GV Ford, My husband told me that someone had been rummaging through the door panel goodies and the arm rest compartment while it was there. Nothing seemed to be missing, but it was un-professional.
History: The day that we bought the Taurus in 2012. We were at your dealership to have our 1999 Ford Expedition have the front wheel bearings packed with grease. My husband had replaced the fuel pump and filter just the day before. While we were looking at new cars just to pass the time, the service manager called my husband and told him that the Expedition needed a new fuel filter- because the one on the vehicle looked old. It was clean and brand new. They also said that it needed brakes. The vehicle only had 35,000 miles on it. It was willed to my husband from his father who passed on 2012, and was never driven. That business with the fuel filter was rectified by the service department by an apology and a discount to the charges for the wheel bearing grease pack after we fell in love with and bought the 2012 Taurus.
Two months ago the 1999 Expedition developed an engine miss. I was so scared that G.V. Ford would cheat me, and soak me for added expenses, that we took it to another garage here in Green Valley for repairs, new plugs and two injectors, done in one day.
Because of all of this bad history with Green Valley Ford, I am left with a bad taste I have gotten in my mouth every time I have to deal with Jim Click Ford Green Valley. I wish I could just sell my car and get a Chevrolet, but I will tell you this, I will never again buy a car from Jim Click Ford in Green Valley.
I don't think that you realize that a new car purchase is a big deal for some people, and me and my family are in that group. Return customers are a result of a good product coupled with excellent customer support. Both of those characteristics are lacking at the Green Valley Ford Dealership.
