Before arriving I checked both windshield wiper blades for tears, rotting, and I operated wipers with no streaks. Both in excellent operating condition. After arriving tech comes to waiting area and shows a 1 inch tear in the driver side blade! But why sould someone destroy your wiper blade? Simple - to sell you a new one! Other testify to similar rip offs in this Jiffy Lube's Reviews

We took our car in for an oil change at Jiffy Lube, the car was working great. Our car was then undrivable after the oil change but they claim they didn't cause it. Car worked great when we brought it in and it wouldn’t work when we tried to leave.

Take it right back after struggling to drive 20 yards as the car would not accelerate and inform them of the problem and they said not their problem, they didn’t do it. Wouldn’t even look at it again to see if maybe a mistake was made. So since the car is not drivable at this point our only option is to take it to the body shop next door and they claim we need an over $500 repair? Are you kidding me? We had to have the mass airflow sensor replaced. The car worked great before Jiffy Lube touched it.

Will NEVER go back to a Jiffy Lube! Seems like a coincidence as there is a body shop right next door where we paid to have the car repaired. We contacted the Jiffy Lube location, contacted corporate, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Nebraska Attorney General and they never responded to any of them.

Finally, after multiple attemps the local location refunded our $70 oil change but we still have a bill of over $500 for the damage they did to the car. It is just not right that they can get away with this. Reading other reviews it sounds like this happens ALL the time.

My horrific Jiffy Lube West OC experience today Request oil change. Arrive home and needed to check something under hood. No fluids topped off and In fact other than the oil change nothing was done. I promptly returned and requested problem be rectified.

The owner/VP stated he did not have time for this today “I’m very busy let me get your number and I’ll call you back about this” There was 1 car ahead of me. I requested he look under my hood and he then filled the windshield washer fluid stating “when we put it in it bubbles and we don’t have time to wait for it to go down so it won’t be completely filled ever” ?,,,

After discussion he walked away stating again he would call me. I was not pleased. I went in the store and asked to speak with him again. There were customers in there and I told them to check their service as the same could happen to them that’s when the owner came in.... at the end of me telling the other customers this.

He proceeded to state the following things not in any particular order and agreed to give me a refund all the while slandering me and women in general. At this point I had to defend myself and again stated that I just wanted what I paid for to be done and since he wasn’t going to do it today I wanted a refund.

That’s when he told me to get out of his store and threw my receipt at me. In the midst of this fiasco he stated.... He was the manager and was so busy he himself was working and he didn’t have time for complaints. You’re really going to complain about not vacuuming?

Your brake fluid is at the minimum which is a Safe level it so we don’t have to top it. I’ve never seen a woman be so rude. Women aren’t supposed to act like this get the hell out of my store. What do you expect from a 5 Minute service? You flap your lips just Like a woman.

I was going to give you a refund until you kept flapping your lips complaining about what wasn’t done. You’re so rude I told you I would call you and You could come back. I have paying customers in line. I don’t care if you never come back I have your address. (That’s scary)

I doubt you could check your own tire pressure. That b*tch is still taking pictures ( which I never did. I was on the phone calling the sheriffs department) Women are Supposed to be calm. What is wrong with you?

I never have anyone complain.

You’re the only one. (I’m fact this happened 2 yrs ago and the only reason I returned was because he rectified it and even has notes in his computer and asked at my last oil change. If service has been ok since) I saw your car and know everything was done as he next asks who worked on my car and had Already visually seen nothing was done.

He threw out so more flapping your lips comments and women insults all the while two more minorities were sitting in the waiting room. One covering all but his eyes with his sweatshirt in shock at what the manager was saying as he continued to holler at me for alerting his customers about my car blunder.

I stated that he is now the one driving away customers. He then refused to give me a refund and threw my receipt at me and went to the car bay and verbally bashed and made fun of me until the police arrived.

I just wanted what I paid for.

If he was insulting me like this as a woman I surmised that he also holds low opinions of other people different than himself and if he can treat me like this he can treat you like this as well.

I visited Jiffy Lube On 1435 S Lewis-Tulsa in November 2018 for an oil change. They did not adequately replace the splash guard, which was subsequently damaged while driving. I had to pay $200+ for a replacement.

I have tried multiple times to contact the store as well as District Manager Greg Moore. The store contacted me once and never followed up. Mr. Moore has never replied to a single contact. It's been many, many weeks now, so I have decided to start posting online in hopes that someone will follow up with me to make this right.

Perhaps Jiffy Lube corporate will step in even though local management refuses to? We can dream...

I SUPPOSEDLY got my oil changed at this place on March 8. And I really wanted to like it because there were two women working there, and it was International Women's Day. So much for that. When they pulled my car around Lady 2 asked Lady 1 if she had reset my oil light, and Lady 1 said, "No, I always have problems with those things." So, Lady 2 reset it. Then, when I got in the car I noticed my tire light was still on (it was on when I got there), but my receipt said that all tires had been checked and were 32 psi. I told Lady 1, and she insisted that she had checked them. I pulled out my tire gauge to check myself, and the passenger rear tire was 19. She told me, "I don't know how that thing is reading, but they were all 32 when I checked, and sometimes you have to drive the car for a while in order for the light to re-calibrate." (That's not how my car works, but I had to get to work.) Those were red flags for me, so I decided to check under the hood to see if other things were done. The windshield washer fluid is not topped off, but the receipt says is was. Lady 1 told me the coolant was low, so I gave consent to fill it and paid $5.49 for that. When I looked under the hood, that wasn't done either.

On February 1, 2019 at 12:34pm I took my car to jiffy lube #2920, located at 37140 25thstreet east, Palmdale Ca. 93550. I own a 2005 Mercedes C230 Kompressor sport, and has been a loyal jiffy lube customer for the past 12 years. My car has always been serviced by Mercedes of Valencia, and has never given me any issues. I thought this day would be a typical oil change with no problems, as my car WAS is fine working condition. I brought my own oil as recommended by Mercedes, which was Mobil 1 synthetic (6qts). They changed the oil and filter and I paid $45.73 and was on my way to pick my 3 girls up. I drove 3 miles to the school, put my car in park and I noticed that it was wobbling from side to side. I immediately called jiffy lube and told them, and they said to come back and they’ll check it. I drove right back to the store and they recommended using their oil which was a thicker grade than the one I brought, however it was Pennzoil this time. I was charged for a whole new filter as well as a fresh new oil change ($107.09).

Last year in about September 2017 I went to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. They condusted an inspection and brought me a measuring device they said indicated that my brakes were worn down and I needed a brake job. I could not afford the brake job at that moment, as it would be over $150.00, which they said I could get a discount for. I declined that service. Two days later I stopped in at an actual automotive repair shop, one that routinely specializes in tire and brake service. I said that I needed a brake job and can they inspect them and give me a quote along wioth the other itelms I needed repaired. After a couple hours they called and said the car was ready and I could come pick it up. When i arrived they said the car did not need a brake service, and they took me to see the brakes, as the car was still on the lift, and showed me that there was still about half my pads remaining, on all brakes. So I determined that the manager at the Jiffy Lube lied to me and was trying to sell me on an unnecessary service to gin up some business. I have suspected them of this in the past, but never had actual proof. I notified Jiffy Lube corporate through their website of the issue I had, and they said that it was a privately owned station and that they had no control over that location. I let the matter drop as its clear Jiffy lube does not care about their reputation. The fact that they lied outright to try to get more money from me has bothered me for nearly a year. Be aware of this when getting your oil changed at this location. I now avoid Jiffy lube altogether.

I went in for an OIL CHANGE on may 11, 2018. Next thing I know they hand me an invoice for $209.47 of which $169.99 of it was for a TRANSMISSION FLUSH. They never asked me about getting my Transmission flushed. When I questioned them about it they got hostile and told me that it was performed based on the manufacturer service interval requirements.

Or something to that effect. I told them I refuse to pay for a service I never requested OR authorized. They said they would call the cops if I didnt pay them and keep my car. So I reluctantly had to sign the invoice and give them the money or I wouldnt have my van that I use for my job. They were very rude and very aggressive about the whole thing.

This car shop turned a simple oil change into disabling my car and tried to convince me, thinking they could take advantage of my lack of knowledge that a perfectly working car could just automatically shut off and they missed that in their initial inspection.

Jiffy Lube #1806, work order #1304

On August 15, 2017 I needed an oil change for a stretch limousine. They drained the oil, then told me it was $88.99 when it was too late to go elsewhere, and they don't use Mobil One. I told them from the start that I only wanted an oil change. I was in a bit of a rush and didn't need anything else. We maintain our vehicles just fine, and had 4 new tires put on literally a week earlier. They decided to check everything anyway, making me wait about 40 minutes. When I went to pay, Zachary the cashier, with an air of disinterest said that they adjusted the tire pressure. I told him that the pressure had been checked twice this week (by me and the tire center down the street) and was fine, and asked what they changed the pressure to, his disinterest became repressed hostility and he replied "How am I supposed to know that? I just got back from break!" I wasn't interested in garganutuan battle over the question. The insinuation was that his lunch made him incapable of answering such a stupid question from a customer and that was it, understood?

A week later, the way I was treated was going through my mind because two people had told me that a tire looked low. After dropping my 8 customers off in the middle of Boston traffic, I went to a filling station to check the tire pressure. The proper max psi is 50 for all tires, but they had lowered the rear tire pressure to under 40, and the front ones to 60 psi, endangering me and my passengers for a service that I didn't want, and subsequently wouldn't discuss. I was complaining in the waiting room about the high price for a 40 minute oil change. I don't know if it was revenge or gross incometence. They had an unwillingness to keep their hands off the area of my car I asked them not to touch, but Zachary certainly instilled in me that I should not trust them. His hostility may have saved me and my passengers from harm, but I will never know if they did it on purpose or not. I will not give them the chance to harm me again.

I have been using Jiffy Lube for many years with a few problems from their mechanics. This time was the worst. Not only after waiting well over 1 hour for service. the mechanic failed to tighten the oil plug again. The plug fell out while driving on the highway while towing a boat behind me. The engine shut off and I was almost killed while trying to get accross traffic into the break down lane. I had to have both my truck and the boat towed. Now they won't even answer the phone to resolve the repaire shops billl. It was 100% their neglect to do this service properly. It was amazing that my engine did not blow up.

This was a real horrible experience for me here at this location.....

I am just here visiting my mom here in Fallon and knew it was time to get my fluids checked/changed. I always go to Jiffy Lube in Berkeley and have great experiences there. I made the mistake of thinking this would be like the other Jiffy Lube that I am use to.

Firstly, the place is WAY over priced. I pay $20 less for the same services. David, the general manager and his staff who works at this Fallon location cannot be trusted.......

He started my payment off by telling me he broke a piece that holds my air filter in. uuuh ok?? He replaced it for free (duh, he broke it).

Then as I am paying....he goes over the fluids that they checked. I didn't hear him say transmission fluid. So, I asked..."did you check the transmission fluid?" and he meekly said "uuh yeah". I asked him to show me. He showed me that the oil had been changed. I asked him again to show me the transmission fluid.

He proceeded to tell me that I didn't have a dipstick to my transmission fluid. WHICH IS NOT TRUE. I asked him to show me. HE COUDLN'T FIND MY TRANSMISSION FLUID LOCATION.

He had two other employees standing next to him who looked just as confused as he was.

HOW EMBARRASSING!!!! They don't know where my transmission fluid is in my car?!?!?

THATS YOUR JOB TO KNOW.

I then pointed the location out to him and one of the woman working there goes... "oh fancy".

As if my beat up honda has a fancy transmission location???

So, basically....what I am saying is he did not check my transmission fluid even though i paid for it. He didn't even know where it was in my car. god know what other fluids they didn't check but lied straight to my face saying they did and had me pay for it.

This place is a joke. I would advise going someplace else where they don't lie to you and actually know how to do their job.

Worse part is....the general manager David told my mom that he would give me a full refund for doing his job improperly....but the next day he left me a message saying he wouldn't.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME.

Terrible terrible customer service. No professionalism at all. I am very embarrassed for the people who work here. They need some training for sure.

This specific jiffy lube tried to sell unecessary services to my wife. We have a 2005 Toyota avalon with 65,xxx miles on it. It was rarely driven by a sick old lady that owned it. After she dropped the car off for a fluid change, She recieved a phone call stating that a radiator hose had a puncture in it and the oil pan gasket was leaking and needed to be replaced as soon as possible. Now I have worked on cars for ten years and know an extensive amount about cars but for little things like an oil change we usually just take the car somewhere because of the deals. She told them she didn't have the money right now and to not worry about it. When she got home I looked for a leaking house and there was none, which I knew because the car would overheat if it was and the oil pan was spotless and drier than the las vegas desert I live in. They figure a woman doesn't know anything and will try this scam every chance they get. For the bosses to meet their "quota" and get their yearly bonuses they must uo-sale each customer by at least $30 and it will never stop.

OK, so this is NOT a pleasant review; and it shouldn't be. I took my new car in for an oil change. The car is less than 1 year old but it had over 65,000 miles on it when I took it here for an oil change. I usually change the oil myself because it is not difficult and with the price of full synthetic oil that my car requires, it is now worth it to spend 15-20 minutes of my own time doing it. However, this time, I was in a hurry and the maintenance light had been bugging me so, I figured, I would take it in, spend a little money and get a "free" car was along with a needed oil change. BAAAAD Mistake!!!......

So, the car goes through the oil change and out the other end. They wash it for me and call me over to pick it up. and, IT WON"T START! How could an oil change prevent the car from starting? But there is no juice in the battery. They call a guy over from the car wash with a battery pack and he jump starts the car and gets it going. It's then that I notice the battery post is BADLY bent. the cable is so twisted it is almost 90deg off-center. Then I look over and notice that the plastic handle has been broken off the oil dipstick as well.

I call the "manager" over and he tells me he can't see how his guys could have done that. It must have already been that way. Remember, I do all my own oil changes. I am familiar with the condition of my car at all times. This was new! Anyway, he agrees to pay for a new dipstick and tells me he will call when it arrives, so I can pick it up.

I limp around with the car all night while I drive for Uber, being sure to never shut it off....just in case. Then the next morning, I drive the car to other job 40 miles away. When I get there, the car won't start again. So, I take the battery out and hand-carry it to the AutoZone near my work. The test it and say it has a dead short inside and point out that there is a crack in the side of the battery casing beside the bent post and the battery is leaking acid. I can only think somebody at Jiffy Lube dropped something heavy on it and broke it. I had to buy a battery at my own expense and put it in. I was able to bend the battery cable terminals back into nearly straight position. Never had another problem with the battery to date.

So, I call the "manager" back who said he would talk to the district manager and see what they could do and get back to me. I waited 2 weeks....no call. So I call, no less than 6 times! I even went there twice. "Manager" is never there. Just as I was about to give up, I tried to call one more time and find out that the manager has been on vacation. He said he talked to district manager and he declined my claim. ....Nothing he could do. I asked for the district manager's phone number and he reluctantly gives me the number to Angel, the district manager. I called him and he basically told me he could not see how they could do this to my car but that he would "investigate" by talking to the mechanics that worked on the car and to take them a receipt for the battery but, he did not see that they would be paying for the damage.

I still have not taken the receipt to them, although I do still have it. I have given up trying to work with them to fix their own mistakes. I will probably take the receipt to them when I can find time again, during daylight hours when I am not working one of my two jobs. I will give them one more chance to make it right but, I don't expect them to do anything. I have already seen their condescending attitude, from the mechanics to the manager, to the district manager. They are absolute )^&*(_)'s. Not even a simple apology. Clearly, no admission of guilt. I am sure they have been advised by Lawyers to never do that, probably because they have had this kind of problem before and needed advice.

All I ever wanted was for them to pay for the direct cost of the damage they cost me. I never asked for any compensation for my back-breaking 1 mile walk holding a car battery, or the apprehension I felt while driving people around all night wondering of the car would quit on me, or the frustration I felt about paying for a service and not getting what I paid for.

They also put the oil change interval sticker from someone else's vehicle on my windshield. I own a Honda and I got a sticker from a Ford on my windshield, with double the miles of my vehicle. I wonder.....did they even put the right oil in my car.

I can never trust this place again....and you shouldn't either!

I went to Jiffy lube with a small Japanese car that takes 4 qts of oil. Their normal oil change price is around $41 and the service is almost double what Walmart charges. Nonetheless, connivence is worth paying a few dollars more. Sadly, when I requested synthetic oil the price jumped to $89!!!!!! $41 for a normal oil change is bad enough but $89 for synthetic, is just pure Price gouging. I have a 5 qt bottle of Mobil 1 synthetic in the trunk that only cost $25. Pennzoil ultra synthetic ( Jiffylub uses) is $27 per 5 qts retail price. They don't pay retail and the service is exactly the same as with conventional oil, so if conventional pennzoil is about $17 per 5 qt. what is their justification for charging more than $51 ? This practice is unethical and takes advantage of those not able to do their own oil changes. Do not use this store.

  • May 25, 2016

January my oil was changed. May I go elsewhere for another change and they tell me: 1. That there is no oil to change. 2. The drain pan is ruined. 3. It has to be replace or it won't hold oil. 4. That Jiffy Lube stripped the drain plug and did not tell me. Even if they did not strip it they should have noticed this and replaced it! An engine without oil is not safe and neither is it now after they have replaced it with their pan kit. Now I have to fight for a new engine from them so my car is safe to drive again.

Jiffy Lube Okeechobee Blvd Took my car for oil change AC was working perfectly at time of oil change, the tech suggest freon he went ahead and added the freon and came back 2 hrs after to tell me that the compressor brake and will cost me almost $600.00. How come when my AC was working PERFECTLY. I took my car only for an oil change not for them to put extra freon and brake my AC, plus wanting to charge me for what they brake. I will even call the news if I have to. Okeechobee Blvd West Palm Beach Florida

Paid $31 for oil change on 2/28/15. Car engine blew on 4/2/15. Engine had only 1/2 cup of oil. JiffyLube didn't change filter. JiffyLube refused to do anything unless I brought car in and then they'd only put in new oil and filter. I sued. Judge found I hadn't proved that they didn't change the oil! Lost. Don't you lose too. Go somewhere else and watch them change the oil!

  • Oct 7, 2015

On 9/5/2015 I took my car in for an oil change..I was then advised to get my engine flushed..my engine is now garbage and they are not cooperating with me. They want every oil change I have had in the past and I explained ed to them I have traveled so some of them are out of state. I have been in a rental since 9/19/2015 and have to pay for that plus my car note. When I originally spoke to the owner he was very rude and I was told there was a video by his manager he yelled at me for wanting to see it. I explained that this was volunteer and he yelled again. The engine flush was not done right and I am stuck with several hundred dollars worth of bills. I asked that they honor their work and get my car fixed but they will not I have been blamed for not keeping up with proper oil changes. Mind u my car is a 2013 with 35000 miles. I didn't ask for reimbursement of my purchase just that they own up to their mistake. I have been late to work left early and still am the 1 suffering. I refuse to get anymore information they were the last people to touch my car and should be held responsible

  • Aug 10, 2015

I took my car for an oil service today and had brand new sunglasses in the middle console. They were gone after the service. Thank you Jiffy Lube for the 300.00 oil service.

I participated in the Pennzoil spring Service certificate offer #0987. I was told that I would recieve a $25.oo dollar rebate, I was not told that I would recieve the rebate already made out Pay to the Order of Jiffy Lube 519. Had the attendant mentioned this before hand I would have refused the offer. This oil change cost me over $100.00, That is 40% higher than I normally pay for an oil change. Im very disappointed in the're lack of forthrightness and do not plan on ever using a Jiffy Lube any where in the United States. It was a scam.
