I searched via Google for Alex and Ani bracelets and found what I thought was a legitimate website selling the items. I ordered 2 bracelets. They took 2 weeks to arrive. When the package came, I knew immediately it was a rip-off. The envelope (no boxes, as usually sent) was from China. Alex and Ani are made in the USA. Upon opening the package I saw they bracelets were cheaply made and nothing like the ones I am used to ordering. I made sure by emailing Alex and Ani with the info included on the envelope and they assured me this was not one of their authorized resellers. I then emailed the company asking for the full amount of money to be returned to my VISA account. They offered me $5, but said I would have to pay shipping back to China and a restocking fee. They did not state what that fee would be, nor did they state that policy on the website. I replied no, that I wanted my money returned. They have since sent a few more emails and upped the return to $8. I have flatly refused. I may add that I have tried without success to contact the VISA company, Elan Financial, to report this and have the charges taken off my account. I have not been able to find a human to speak to there. Only a canned menu it seems. The authentic Alex and Ani company told me if I send them the bracelets, they would attempt to help me get my money back. I have first given jewelry-sales.com the opportunity to make this right, but they are definitely stalling. The bracelets are now packed up and ready to send to the REAL Alex and Ani company in Cranston, RI. Hope they can help.
