Brought in two brand new Ferragamo shoes along with 4 other pairs to be stretched. Not only did it appear none of the shoes were stretch but the two Ferragamo pairs came back with cut/tears and one had what could be shoe polish stains. The shoes were also returned to me outside of their original sleeves and thrown in a large white groccery bags. When I called Jerry he was unprofessional and acted like he could bully his was out of the situation with threats. He even said he would sue me for liable if I took him to small claims court. He is a big "little" man if you know what I mean . Actually his mommy runs the store . When I picked up the shoes his mom said she had no receipts . When I asked her for a hand written one she argued why I needed one as it is a cash business and she already had my money. When I asked about the boxes and why the shoes were thrown in the bag she started with the "this is my sons business . I am 70 years old. Call my Son. "I left and started to look at the shoes . I left becuse I did not want to interfeer with customers if this was just a misunderstanding. I had hoped Jerry was responsible and professional. This is absoluelty not the case . When I saw the obvious damage, I immediately went back in to confronted her and demanded a receipt she suddenly claimed ignorance saying"I'm 70 years old I cannot remember what I gave you" even though it was roughly 2 minutes later. Now I had even let customers go ahead of me so we could have a private conversation. When she saw the shoes she imediately said my son did not do that. Now I had to ask myself , why would she say that ? Then she said " you left the buidling and could have swapped these out." I told her I was standing write out side and there were at least 3 other people who saw that I took them out of the bag out side the store and immediatley went back in. WHen I asked her if she had not seen me right outside, she again fained ignorance and said I would have to contact her son.
When I did contact her son he hung up on me. Really interesting if he was not feelign guilty. I left two messages with the note that if I did not hear back I would contact a lawyer. On the third call he picked up surpirsed as if he had not looked at caller ID. Her son first said he did not remember or know what i was talking about. Then he oddly mentioned he never keeps teh stretched shoes near the sharp equipment. This ws before he knew what the exact problem was. Interesting ? Then he said the shoes must have been defective. Then he said he did not do damage to the specfic shoe . How did he know what shoe it was if he did not damage it or remember ?
Later in the week I called him to make a settlement offer to avoid a lawsuit . His comment was that the he could by used shoes for a specific amount in the context of what I was asking. Now , if he did not remember the shoes and did not damage them, how would he know what the model was to find a used price? Then he argued that they were NOT new forgetting every other lie he told me. Again , he does not remember damaging the shoes or if I even dropped off Feragamos but he now remembers they were used ? If he did not damage them or remember know what they were how would he know what to look up look up ? Bsically he told so many lies that he could not follow his own deceit and he was not smart enough to stick to the same lie.
The short is Jerry is unprofessional and his service is a total RIP OFF. He tried to bully me and scare me with physical and legal threats. Jerry is a joke.
