My husband and I recently purchased a sofa and love seat from this location. Upon making our purchase, the sales associate said that he was going to drop down the price from $999 to $899 as a "favor" to us. When I got home I looked up the set online and came to realize that in fact the price was $899. So in fact the sales associate was not doing me a "favor".
When we attempted to move the love seat once it was delivered, we noticed that one of the legs was discolored. As I got closer, the leg had been cracked and someone tried to cover it up with a sharpie marker. I called customer service and they said they would send a new leg and someone to install it. I received a call from the store manager and his response to me after I explained the situation was basically it was the drivers fault and tried to justify the sales associates actions.
I then received a called from who I assume was another manager, who tried to downplay the whole situation. No one is being held accountable nor has anyone offered me any form of compensation for putting up with all of this. I really wish I would have read the reviews prior to purchasing anything at this store. I am hoping this report well help others. I have a whole house to furnish but it won't be from this company due to their deceptive way of doing business.
I bought a couch from them in 2007 and called like once a year when one of my kids spilled something. I haven't called in 2 years since I haven't had any accident but my daughter recently spilled milk on my couch and when I went to go put in a claim in at 516 504 3048 they told me that they were bought out by The Morris Group and do not honor this protection plan anymore. I called the main store where I bought the couch and they told me that they couldn't find my original store receipt since it has been so long but told me that the protection plan back then was a lifetime. It is now only 5 years. The store tried telling me that Guardsman Guarantee handled the protection plan but when I called them they did not have any record of me ever buying anything. I dont know why I wasted my time in ever calling them to begin with but this is crazy. My couch is very nice looking with no rips or tears but now I have this big stain and I onlly wanted it clean which is why I bought this plan. Save your money or better yet dont ever buy from them. This is ridiculous and will never buy from them again!!!
Last year my husband and I, in preparation for furnishing our home in the next 1-2 years, applied for a Jennifer Convertibles credit card. I did not plan to use it until summer 2018, but we wanted to open the card up in order to plan our budget.
Without notice, our credit card was closed due to inactivity. The customer service rep told me that the bank is here to make money and that it's not illegal to close my account without notice.
1. Duh! Of course you want to make money...and you were about to since we were shopping for a new bedroom set in August. But since you did not give me the courtesy of a phone call or letter, I did not have a chance to let you know.
2. Wow! So because it's not illegal it makes it right? What about customer service? Our credit score went down a couple of points because closing the card changed our credit utilization ratio. But you don't care about that, huh?
Jennifer Convertibles is in business with a terrible bank: Synchrony. I will never EVER shop there. And I will make sure to tell everyone I know how shady their business dealings are.
I feel that jennifer furniture is ripping me off for my $890.70 dollars order#jfw8316 i have tryed numberous times to reach them. left many messages, to no avail. i want the product on my money refunded
