DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! I purchased a Verizon iPhone 5c on jemjem.com for my son who is away at college. The phone they sent me was not a Verizon phone. When I took it to the Verizon store to activate it and buy a sim card it could not be activated. Jemjem customer service said they did not have a Verizon 5c to replace it with so they refunded that purchase and I bought a iPhone 5 for $90 more than the 5c. This phone came, and again the Verizon store could not activate it, saying it was not compatible with their network. I called jemjem and they replaced this phone with a third iPhone. When I took this phone to the Verizon store, they again told me this phone would not work on the Verizon network.

When I called jemjem to ask for my money back, they told me that the phone was now out of warranty and they could not do anything for me. I asked for a supervisor and she told me the same line. I never received what I ordered on the website: a working Verizon iPhone.

I am now out $269 for a phone that I cannot use. Please don't be fooled by the website. BUYER BEWARE!!! If you have money to throw away, by all means, they can help you. Otherwise, stay away from jemjem.com

Thanks!

Thanks for your review. I have tried to order a refurbished iphone from them. The website didn't allow me to, because of website error. They didn't recognize my (legit) address. Still keen on buying the phone, I tried to contact them, but only got a strange message, that I have 5 phones pending on my account now and the phone was out of stock because I had already bought it 5 times. I never received any confirmation about any purchase. I tried to contact them again and again, to clarify, but to answer. I contacted them to delete my account no answer.

I'm glad that the three emails in the beginning, basically just asking them to sell me a phone were not being answered to. I'm sharing this here in the hope that lot's of people will read it. I would not trust that company with anything.

I bought 2 refurbished iPhone 5Cs with JemJem.com when JemJem was advertising a 90-day no hassle return policy. Both phones were defective and so I initiated a return before the 90-days had expired. I was told that now there is a 30-day return policy and I am only eligible for an exchange and not a refund. I called JemJem and I made clear that I wanted a refund but the reps continued to reiterate the current 30-day return policy.

At least 5 separate times, I asked to speak to a supervisor. Each time I was told the supervisor was not available. If you search through internet archives pertaining to pages on their website, you will find that they continue to change their return policy and their warranty policies back and forth between 30 and 90-days. In the course of my dispute, they have changed their return policy and warranty from 90 to 30-days.

This is by far the worst vendor I have ever dealt with. They are crooks and they have stolen $450 from me. I would highly advise seeking a reputable vendor, such as Gazelle, to buy refurbished devices.

I bought a refurbished Apple mouse from JemJem. It arrived inoperative. I asked JemJem for a return authorization. They have two types. If it is their fault, a prepaid return shipping label is attached, otherwise there is no prepaid shipping label.

JemJem made a mistake and marked my return as my fault (customer changed his mind). Therefore there was no prepaid shipping label attached to the return authorization.

I returned the inoperative mouse and was refunded my money less a restocking fee.

I asked JemJem why I was charged a restocking fee since the mouse was inoperative. I also asked for a refund of the return postage since the return instructions said JemJem would pay return postage in the case of defective merchandise.

JemJem looked at my original return request and apologized for their mistake and refunded the restocking fee.

I asked where the return postage refund was. JemJem, now viewing the return as their fault and knowing that all “their fault” return authorizations have prepaid return labels attached, told me that they did send me a prepaid return label and it was my fault for not using it.

I looked in my “old mail” folder and saw that there was no prepaid return label attached (because at the time they sent that return authorization, they had mistakenly classified it as a customer changed his mind refund).

I asked JemJem to look in their “sent” folder to verify they never sent me a prepaid return label.

They said they must have sent the prepaid return label and marked my complaint “case closed.”

I never could get get JemJem to look in their “sent” folder.

DO NOT BUY FROM THE COMPANY

I have tried to buy a phone form the company. I have probably contacted the customer support 10 times. Only got a reply once. The only time they answered me, they told me i had 5 phones pending on my account. I had clicked the submit form for buying several times, because it gave me strange error messages. For example they didn't recognize my street address even though I went through the amazon shipping site. Amazon never had a problem.

I just wanted to buy a phone, I begged them to let me buy a phone, no answer. Than I tried to clear my account because I only wanted to buy one phone. No answer. I want to delete my account. Impossible!
