Considering the fact that I just have discovered that Dodge / Chrysler does not have a very good reputation when it comes to customer care and follow up, therefore, I decided to right my dissatisfaction with Ontario Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat Dealership located at 5280 Dixie Road, Mississauga, ON L4W-2A7.
To the moment that I drove the Pre-Owned 2010 Dodge Grand-Caravan, on September 8th, 2016 that I had purchased from Ontario Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat Dealership, I thought that was in good hands, I never thought they would lie and cheat me for a little bit of money.
I never thought a salesman in a dealership would pretend that he unlocked the van that I am purchasing in his yard using its FOB, while actually the van wasn’t locked in the first place. When asked him to use the PANIC button to find where did he park the van, he said the PANIC button on this FOB doesn’t work good, needs cleaning, however, the PANIC button on the other FOB works perfectly.
When completed the transaction, upon entering the van, I tried to LOCK/UNLOCK the van, neither of the FOBs, worked. I looked at the salesman and asked him what the problem is? With full confidence he replied, it is only the battery for FOBs need replacement. For a second I didn’t believe him, but said to myself “WHY SHOULD I MISTRUST A RESPECTED MAN LIKE HIM, ACCUSING HIM OF LYING?”
After changing the batteries, the FOBs still didn’t work, I wrote him an E-mail, his reply was to call the service department and book an appointment for half hour for $60. Then, and only then I lost my trust in him and his dealership.
I thought, DODGE would care for its reputation, and decided to write or call them. Surfed the internet for info and reviews, and I was stunned. DODGE’s customer care is so bad with others whom had spent 5-10 times the money and have more genuine cases than mine. I got disappointed and decided not to contact DODGE, especially, after the dealership manager called me telling me not to write to the salesman (Mr. Matthew Techlowicz) of my complaints. But, I have to be little more just and fair, the dealership manager told me that I can do whatever and contact whoever I want but he doesn’t want me to write his employee. Anybody can help me why is that?
Is it I am an old fashion person, expecting dignity, respect, and truth? Certainly, I expected him to be truthful to me; after all, there is no reason worth lying to a man that trusts you, if your dealership needed this $60 so badly, you could have asked for it. Somehow, I have the feeling that salesman didn’t like his name to be mentioned in the Ontario Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations as well as Rip-Off website, but his manager was courageous enough to say go ahead.
As a result, and after calming down period, I think it is worth taking them to small claims court, and publish all the relevant facts and concerned websites on the internet, including Rip-Off site.
