JDM Exchange and my company had a long relationship. We bought cars from them that they imported from Japan. But in 2017 the sweet personality of Mr's Kim truned sour. She told us she was dying of cancer so we obviously cut her some slack. We purchased 2 cars from her prepaid and picked thm up in July. At that point thisgs were fine. She asked us to sell a few more cars for her but when they arrived they were in poor shape and needed a lot of repairs to be sell able. We did the repair but she wuld not discount for our trouble. She would come to Florida and visit and when she did I asked her to take the latest cars back. She agreed but things went sour shortly after. We had 2 other prepaid cars on order and she refused to deliver them. She claimed we were getting cars at a discount by taking the good with the bad. At that point we had delivered the two cars we previously received and she began harrassing us by phone and calling our buyers claiming they owed her money.
She even came to our office while she knew I was away and told our employees she would be closing us down and needed new jobs. I aked her to stop and she screamed at me till i hung up. She then showed up again while I was away and screamed at my survaiance cameras. Police were called and made her leave. We told police to charge them with tresspass if they returned. They had taken one of our dealer tags and refused to return is so we had to report it stolen. She continued to try to extort moeny by phone for months. Things were quiet till last saturday. We were at a car show and the police aske to see one of the show cars vin numbers. We showed them and they said the car was reportd stolen. Obviously this was false sine the car was in the owners possesion since July 2017. But aparantly we were not ready for how criminal JDM Exchange is. They has had one of there customers get them a title for the car. that showed they owned it. First of all this is not a easy car to title being imported from Japan. The police reviewed that situation and hen we proved we had the car for almost a year they dropped any charges of theft. But becuase the title they had was vaild (even tho obtained illeagally) the police gave them the car. This matter will now result in crimial charges against them and a lawsuit by use and the cars owner that will surley reach the 1/2 million mark. We also Inquired with the government ( ICE, DOT , EPA) and apparently they are not even importing cars corectly. Watch out for these crooks and wish us luck. Enclosed please find piccture with the cars vin number. Dont let anyone you know buy it because its part of a criminal investigation.
