Took in a Browning Sweet 16 for a left hand safety installation. The gun was brand new in mint condition. When it was picked up it appeared the gun had been dropped. It looked like someone tried to repair the damage, the rear stock has sand marks all over it and is really rough as well as runs in the finish. The butt plate is cracked and dented. It looks like a chunk of it was glued back in. The forearm has a couple of deep gashes. In addition to the cosmetic damage done the gun isn't even operational. There is no spring tension in the carrier so it can't be loaded. When I called the owner, he basically said they would look at and fix the operational problem but denied doing any of the damage. When I said we needed to figure out what to do about it because it needed taken care of he said “sue me” and hung up on me. Sad when a business owner won't take responsibility for their actions unless you want to sue them.
