July sent statement I owed $61 , sent $62, they sent you statement saying I owe late charge of $40. I was not late, I have not paid this . My account was paid off
On September 28, 2020, Order #2020270312295805, I ordered 3 clothing items that were on sale, one was a Clearance item: Catalog Invoice #71060296, a $25.00 women's Tank Top on sale for $6.19, but JC Penney charged me $30.65 for this item and will not give me a refund because I only just discovered this when I received my bill yesterday.
On August 20, 2020, Order #20202311499104, I ordered a pair of mens shoes, the exact same price of $56.51, I purchased this same pair of shoes 2 months prior, different color; 2 pairs of mens levis jeans that was advertised buy one get second 50% off, but JC Penney charged me full price for both; in this same order, I purchased 2 sets of mens socks, 6 to a pack, thart was advertised $20.00, second set 40% off, but JC Penney charged me full price for both, and will not give me a refund because I only just discovered that they messed up and are trying to put the blame on me.
I ordered all of these items online because they were on sale, trying to save money, and purchased these items online with my JC Penney credit card.
I deserve to get the items I ordered, for the price I paid for them, the exact same price that I was misled to believe by JC Penney advertised to be true. THIS IS FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!
I purchased to pairs of gold earrings, and was told that if I went back the next day, thy would be on sale. The sticker price would total over $300 but with the "great" sale I could get both pairs for $86. The sales rep offered to set them aside for me.
Something seemed weird but I said I would come back. I went back the next day and a different sales rep told me the sale "actually" started the following day but she could "Pre-ring" the sale so I wouldn't have to come back. I took them home but really couldn't believe I could get such a deal.
I took both pair to a real, certified jeweler with a Precious Metals License t have them appraised. He verified them, while they are gold, the weight of both pairs was less than .06 of a GRAM. They are hollow inside and the value of the gold is about $6.00. He advised me to give them to a little girl or sell them at a flea market!
Without knowing where I got them, he looked at the stickers and said that department stores do that all the time, have fake sales, fake attempts to get you back in, and the mark-up is immoral and should be illegal. He also remarked "JC Penny's is the worst"!
An $86 sale is worth $6 to the buyer. Don't be fooled and don't waste your money there!
7-16-2018. JC Penney installed new Hunter Douglas honeycomb shades. In February 2019 the pulls started cracking and breaking off on 6 shades. On March 5, 2019 Penney's came out and removed the defective shades and sent them to be repaired.
They reinstalled them on March 29, 2019. Less than a month, the same shades started having the same problems. They finally came out and removed the shades to send them back to Hunter Douglas on July 18, 2019. (They went to my old address, which they hadn't been in a few years so they didn't show up when they said they would.
Apparantly they can't remove a previous address. Strange thing is, the last 4 times they had been to my current address.) I had to buy tempoary shades AGAIN since these are in my bedroom and bathroom. I had not heard back, so I called Penney's August 12, 2019. I talked with Veronica who said UPS lost the shades and they never made it to Hunter Douglas.
She said she would call me back that day. I never heard back, so I called on 8-16 and spoke to Sergio. He said Veronica would call me back which she never did. I called again on 8-19 and spoke with Thomas who said he would call me back by 3pm. He never called back. I called today, 8-21-2019 and spoke with Wyatt.
He said Veronica would check into this and call me back. I am not holding my breath. At this point I think I just want my money back as no one at JC Penney or Hunter Douglas seem to care about their customers. These are not cheap shades but the plastic pulls are cheaply made. I am so frustrated I don't know where to go from here...
I am a new homeowner, and needed to buy some appliances. Coming from New York City...most apartments have laundry facilities in the basement, so this was my first washer dryer purchase.
I went to JC Penny store in my new hometown of Asheville NC, where a sales person helped me in the decision making process.
The machines were delivered and installed.
As i had just moved in to my new place, I had ALOT of laundry to do!
At first, everything was ok.., but after a few loads, I started noticing an AWFUL smell coming from the dryer.
As I never owned a new dryer before, my first thought was it might be the smell of a new machine.
BUT...a few loads later, the smell got worse, and I couldn't bear breathing it in.
I got super concerned....I would go into my laundry room and HOLD MY BREATH!
I realized something was REALLY WRONG... I knew the fumes coming from the dryer were toxic
It was sunday, and there's not many maintenance people at my building, but once I found someone, he came up to inspect my dryer.
When he came in, he covered his nose....FUMES OF TOXINS....
Needless to say, I was freaked out...
Carbon dioxide is DANGEROUS!!!
Here I just bought my first laundry machines, and have this happen!
I called the JC Penny information line and left a message telling them all of this.
I received a phone call from a gentleman who asked me about what had happened. He seemed concerned (as well he should !)
and said he would get back to me to see how JC Penny was going to handle this.
In the meantime, I got to feeling nauseous and congested. Knowing that breathing in toxic fumes can be a serious thing, I went to the emergency room at Mission Hospital...
I wrote a follow up to the man who had originally reached out to me (the very concerned about my health and well being man) and told him that I had gone to the ER HIs name is Leif extension 215313
I left the ER three hours later! They treated me for Toxic inhalation..
The next day I went to my neurologist. They do tests to see brain function and I wanted to be sure that was not impaired.
The JC Penny rep said he would call at 6PM monday evening, but NEVER CALLED Instead, I received calls from insurance agents asking me all sorts of questions, AND...i received a call from JC Penny asking me to make a statement releasing them from any responsiblity.
it's shameful to me to see the negligence, lack of concern, professionalism and response.
Bought a new refrigerator for a disabled vet. Did not know of 48 hrs policy for defective merchandise and 15% restocking fee. Refrigerator ices and drips water from freezer.
Bought online on 5/2/18 and delivered 5/9/18. Waited 48 hours and wasn't getting cold. Was dripping water all over floor from freezer. Turned it up (after mopping up) as cold as it could go and frost and water still pouring into fridge. Call store they refuse to send a new

the issue. This is just a piece of crap that JC PENNEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND. Do not buy anything from them. Told them they need to learn from Lowe's home depot and other appliance stores how to treat people. Salesperson, dept manager and store manager all
gave same reply that it's like buying a car warranty covers it. LIES! You have at least 30 days to return to Lowe's . BOYCOTTING STORE. Hope they close them all!
I fell behind. I paid on this account even though I was behind. I paid it to a zero balance per their computer when I called in last payment. The company was in bankruptsy and sold accounts to stay aboce water. The account was sold even though I was making agreed upon payments. I paid it off to JC Penney through the phone payment system. The company will not take it off of my report. There is not a collection company. The company is committing fraud and lying to credit reporting agencies. They committed fraud to the companies they sold the accounts to as well. The accounts had no value because they were paid off or in repayment as agreed. This company needs to be audited for the years 2012-2016 and pay close attention to accounts sold and compare to current information that JC Penney has in their computer system. The company does not way to correct the record because it shows their fraudulent activity.
Jc penny/synchrony sent a payment request ach to my bank on an unarthorized date I did not agree to the date the payment was requested). This caused my account to go into negative status and create a derrogatory remark on my credit rating.
I then received 36 robo calls concerning the payment. I informed the synchrony representative that it was an error on their part and i should not
Be charged any late fee. She was confused and told me to pay the late fee and the next months payment now. She told me my bank was at fault, Which is incorrect).
This may be a common practice of jcp/synchrony to squeeze out more money from their card holders, by adding on interest and late fees means more of
Our hard earned money in their pockets.
I'm sure that this has happened to many other people and i feel a class action lawsuit should be started.
These situations should not happen, especially from a large financial institution.
I purchased a GE washer and dryer from JC Penney which they delivered and installed on May 3, 2017. The washer worked fine until about mid June, at which time I began calling their appliance dept. for service. On June 26, 2017 I was told that their contracted service person would be at my home on June 30th between 12-5...at 5:15 no one had shown up or called so I sat on hold for 1/2 hour AGAIN w/JCP who gave me the service company's #, called them the following morning to be told that they don't service my area...called JCP again, transferred to GE and wasted another hour of my life on hold, being transferred, telling the same thing to several different people only to be told that I'd be contacted by a "locator" within 48 hours-never happened. On July 31, 2017 I spent HOURS on the phone again holding, being transferred around and finally being told that they'd get service scheduled-when I asked for details of service company it was the same as first time, who I have told them numerous times DOES NOT SERVICE MY AREA!!
After holding some more the girl I was speaking with became VERY rude, raised her voice at which time I insisted on speaking with a supervisor. I was transferred to an "advocate" who I had to again repeat the same info I've told 100 times to and requested that they call my # but of course that didn't happen...they called my mother's #, I called back and of course have only gotten voicemail; that was yesterday. The service person was supposed to be here today and call ahead, no one has called, no one has shown. I have tried now 2 times to call my "advocate" to no avail, as well as the other person at GE...left voicemails, no call back...at this time today I've left 2 voicemails, and am now on hold w/JCP waiting on a "specialist" for 23 minutes.
JC Penney does not stand behind their products, the warranty is certainly good on a washing machine that I've had for 3 months that hasn't worked correctly since a month after I bought it! They have NO customer service, and just give customers the run around to try and get out of repairing their products! At this point I am investigating some type of suit against them, and judging by the HUNDREDS of consumer complaints online a class action shouldn't be that difficult!
If I were to walk into a store, like JCPenney, and pick something off the shelf and walk out without giving the store money it would be considered stealing. So what is it called if a company takes a person’s money with promise of a product, but that product was never delivered? Wouldn’t that be a form of stealing? In January I gave JCPenney money for them to give me a mattress, they took the money, but have NOT given me my mattress after 3 months.
On January 4, 2017 I ordered a twin size mattress. After a few weeks, I get a call for delivery date. The day before delivery I call saying that they had the wrong size mattress, a queen. The person that I spoke with said that they would return the queen, order another twin and call back with a new delivery date. After two weeks, I had not heard anything so I called them. That is when I found out that nothing had been done. The queen was not returned nor was the twin re-ordered. While on the phone with me, the lady processed a return and re-ordered a twin size mattress. A few days later, I got a call to schedule delivery. I took off work to wait around for a mattress that never showed up. When I called to find out what happen I was told that “the mattress did not make it on the truck and that the delivery would have to be rescheduled” As angry as I was, I just rescheduled the delivery. I get a call to reschedule, but the specific time did not work for me. When I told this to the person on the phone, I was told “Then you need to reschedule” and hung up the phone on me without giving me a chance to figure something out. The mattress was then re-scheduled yet again. I get a call telling me the mattress would be delivered on March 18. March 18th came and went without a mattress. When I call to find out what happen, I was told that there was a mistake in the system. They canceled our March 18th date and rescheduled it for March 23th without contacting me, without asking if we were available. I get them to reschedule for March 25th and get a call saying that date wasn’t available that April 1st was the earliest date I could get. On March 31 I get a call saying my mattress would be delivered on April 1st between 8:30am-10:30am. At 10:30am I had not received a phone call, nor did I receive a mattress. I spent the next 3 hours talking to many different people, calling many different phone numbers to find out that, for the second time, my mattress “did not make it on the delivery truck”. When I finally found out what happened I was sooo angry. After 3 months of waiting, after 3 months of reschedules and no shows and twice of “it didn’t make it on the truck”, I think I have been plenty patient, plenty polite and plenty accommodating.
If I were to walk in to JCPenney and take a couple hundred dollars worth of product, I would be arrested. I would be sent to jail, have to pay fines, court fees and return everything I took. JCPenney took a couple hundred dollars from me and did not give me my product in return. What should JCPenney do now?
Snynchrony Bank/JC Penny issued me a store charge card with a $500.00 credit line. I had the card nearly six months and I have paid off the balance most of the time. Come November 2016 Snchrony Bank and JC Penny lowered my credit line to only $100.00 because they checked my credit score. They did not bother to check my credit score before the issed me the JC Penny charge card, that is working backwards. I closed the account because $100.00 currently at today's economy could be spent on a pair of shoes, or a pair of slacks, $100.00 do not buy anyone a whole lot so I closed the card. JC Penny also lowered the credit line to a JC Penny employee at the Trenton Store the employee told me herself. And JC Penny closed my Mother in Law's JC Penny charge card claiming it was not used enough. She has perfect credit score. Then JC Penny never tried with my mother in law to resolve the problem they never reopened her account neither JC Penny did not give her a new account either. All the JC Penny stores should close nationwide as it's clear to see that they don't care about their customers. They only care about how much money they take in the more the better, especially now between the two major holidays Christmas and New Years sales. Look at the poor JC Penny staff they have to get up very early for those CHristmas, and New Years sales because the CEO and Managers are too cheap to pay for the major holidays. Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ that is waht the Christmas Celebration is about. Not about Making Sales and the stores to make themselves richer by those sales. I plainly can see where the phrase came from. Soon the fool and his money will be departed.
NO wonder the are at the . They have a lot to be forgiven for including treating their workers or staff as slaves while the Managers and CEO's sit on their but at home enjoying themselves the store employees have to work till 2 am during these early, lousy, sales!!
I bought a refrigerator in Nov. and I told the girl I did not want the 12 foot water hose. But she charged me for one anyways . When the fridg was delivered I told the guy not to put it on I was returning and that I told her I didn't want it. And he said just sign that you refuse the hose and you will be credited. Call tonight and chech. So I called and was told to call back in a couple days . I did and was told to call back in a week. Well with Christmas I got busy so I called yesterday and got a recording that said it was a 18 minute wait. OK so after waiting on hold for an hour and 10 minutes I get a lady that's says I can't here you very well can you call back? I said no so she says what can I do? I tell herI don't think I was credited for the hose. And she says Oh you have the wrong department . I say is this billing she says yes but and I say I was on hold an hour and 10 min just get me a manager. And she says ok and I hear ringing and then a recording that says you have rea chef a disconnect number . So now I'm pissed mind you it is a $9.99 credit not such a big deal but now with the god awful customer service. I decide to call corpret head quarters. A recording awnsers that saw for English stay on the line than other stuff . Than ring 3 times and cuts off. So I call Back same dame thing . So if calling to ask a simple question so hard for there employees maybe someone a little farther can call me back sit on ahold for an hour and ten minutes then I can cut them off and they can make 2 more calls to me where they also get cut off and then the can GIVE an answer to my question about where's my credit?
J C Penney had a big black friday sale on line 11/23/16 I placed my order for 5 polar bear gift holders for $3.99. J C Penney charged my credit card and I told them I will pick up the order from the store at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois. Today is 12/07/12 I still do not have the order. have tried to get this resolved for over a week I called customer service as JC Penney as they suggested was on hold for an hour rep said she could not help me I, had to deal with the store because it was a store pickup.
I called the store the rep there said call customer service. I went to the Woodfield Mall location in person she said she could not help I need to call customer service. The merchandise I am waiting for is on sale in the store however, I was told I would need to pay that price it is currently and not the price which was from the black friday sale.
Furthermore, I would have to cancel this order and wait for my refund to appear on my card. In other words pay twice. I suggested that she get the merchandise and make the order she said she could not do this. No one at JC Penney is helpful.
I went to the Waycross JC Penny hair salon and got the hair cut of the lifetime it is so bad i donn't know where to start. I went this past friday to get my hair cut the girl thinned my hair very deep in the back in one spot i couldn't get my hair to look right so i went back today that lady was on vacation so another girl said she would fix it i should have seen that one coming she cut my hair real short above where the other gril had thinned it it realy looks bad now all i can do now is let it grow out and stay away from JC Penny's hair salon i'll never go back there again ever.If there's an lawyer who can help me please let me know no one should have to ever go threw this only to get a hair cut they do not know how to cut hair .
I have been ordering glasses for 6 years at J C Penney Optical. In 2014 I ordered progressive bifocals and transition sunglasses and could not see properly and they told me I had to adjust to them as it was different prescrition. I paid $249.00 for both pair. I tried for over a year and could not see properly. I had my eyes checked again in February of 2016 and had different prescription again. I went back to J C Penney Optical and decided I would only get the transition glasses that I could wear for regular glasses and sunglasses. I went to pick them up 2 weeks ago and I could not see out of them either. I was then told that they had sold me the glasses that I had picked out in December 2014 and they were not the ones that I had bought in 2013 because they would only let you see a small area in the center of the glasses and would not reach all the way across the lenses. They said they would move the bifocal up a little and maybe that would help. I have now invested $464.00 in glasses at J C Penney Optical and I still do not have glasses that I can see out of. I do not know how to get a resolution. I guess I will have to go to either Lenscrafter or some other optical company and pay all over again to try to get satisfaction and be able to see.

In 2013 my wife at the time had purchased a 500 dollar 10kt 5 diamond mens wedding band.
As time went by I noticed my band tarnishing like old silverware.
Taking the ring back I was told it was out of warranty and no longer servicable.
I then took it to 4 jewelers all with the same report. NONE of the ring was gold rather sterling silver.
JC Penney decided to con me out of $24 of rebates, so screw them. My Platinum card is in the garbage. May they go bankrupt.
They did a hard check on my credit without my permission, then they stole 35.94 from me on a 2 dollar bill I didnt even know I owed.
These people are slick. they messed up my credit and refused to fix it. they stole from me and no one needs this card ever. They will do a hard check.
I went to the Waycross JC Penny hair salon and got the hair cut of the lifetime it is so bad i donn't know where to start.
