JCM Hauling engaged in a contract to pick up my horse in Oklahoma and transport him to my home in Alabama for the sum of $550.00 They picked up the horse, with all health documentation ( health certificate and negative coggins)drove one hour and decided to return the horse saying he was sick. They dropped the horse at the starting point and kept all my money. I spoke with the vet who issued the Heath certificate and he claimed he was not sick. I spoke to the barn owner and he claimed the horse was not sick. I asked for JCM Hauling to return $275 of my $550 since they did use gas to pick him up and more to return him I had no problem with splitting it with them, but the refused and kept my entire amount of payment saying " I won't return one dime"! This is unfair to agree to pick up the horse.. Charge to pick up the horse.. Not bring the horse the agreed upon distance and just keep all of my money when the contract states 50% upon pick up and 50% upon delivery. I made a mistake and paid it all up front. Do not trust this transporter. This is a scam if I've ever seen one.
Actual proof that the client lied and tried to send a sick horse on the trailer
I am Jennifer with JCM Hauling, our contract is clearly stated that no sick horse is allowed on the trailer, Mary Ann decided it was best to lie about this and I asked numerous times if this was a rescue horse as we do not haul them, I gave her multiple chances to tell us the truth. My husband continued on to the pick up and arrived to a sick horse which the seller promptly - shoved the horse at my husband and locked his gates and would not come back to get the horse. I called Mary Ann immediately and tried to reach her for hours - she contacted me in the am mad we had not left the location, we explained we could not haul the horse and she knew that - all of that is clearly stated in the contract. We contacted the USDA to report the sick horse, the seller, the buyer and the vet who actually gave this sick rescue horse it's travel papers. The vet tried to reach the seller as well with no avail so they took the horse in the morning and help disinfect the trailer. We have copies of the contract, we have pictures of the horse and so on. My reply is late as I was just informed of this review on 9/18/2017. Our FB page shows nothing but excellent reviews, shows we do not haul rescues and our contract is extremely detailed in stating we do not haul rescues, sick horses and if we show up at the pick up and there is a rescue or sick horse all money is due immediately, MaryAnn signed this contract knowing the rules in full well before pick up!
