Me and my husband hired this company to build a building for us that we have saved up for, after the building was done a few days later we started noticing problems, the sliding door will not open or shut right, the roof has several leaks in it, the roof line starts at 2 inches and ends up 6 inches, we have called them several times and the so called owner james carver tells us its not his problem any more that we will have to hire some one to fix it, he is nothing but a liar and a thief, his add says you get a 1 yr warranty but the barn is only 3 months old, come to find out he is all over other complaint sites to, if you are looking for some one to do a post framed building do not deal with jc pole barns.
I signed a contract for this company to build me a metal building, i had went to his website and read up on the reviews and everything sounded good, it turns out the building i had built is needing alot of repairs and the crew was doing drugs on the jobsite, after they were done and i got out there looking i found crystal meth on the ground, when i would try to contact james carver the owner he does not respond back to any of my calls, then i find out from another customer that he also has had a bad experience with the same company and says he will not fix any repairs, my recommendation is do not use this company!!!
Prior to entering into a contract I met with James owner of JC pole barns I had 3d pictures of what I wanted him to build. James told me it would take him 3 days to build the pole barn and that he could start in 3 weeks as He personally would be building my barn. His sub contracted team started 6 weeks later and it took them 3 weeks and drove to my property 10 direct times. I witnessed the sub contractors walking all over the sheet metal denting it. I have cameras all over my property and noticed some strange activity after reviewing the tapes I was able to see 2 of his guys snorting a substance. None of the doors have headers. The transition from the main barn roof has no sealant creating a 40fot long gap that let's rain in. There are 4 holes in the roof metal where they put a screw in but it did not hit a joist so they removed the screw leaving 4 holes. The lean-to was not built as agreed. I went into the hospital for a major reconstructive surgery on Tuesday on Thursday James called me and said the barn was complete and I responded great. I hope to be out Friday and would make the final payment. The hospital told me I would be released Friday afternoon. I called JC to a range final payment for Saturday as I was still in the hospital (I had 50 staples in me) and that way I could do a walk through. JC got very upset and said if he did not get a check Friday - he would drive out to my house and tear down the pole barn. The fit and finish is poor very poor. Please do not use this person as he is a con artists and hires to build his buildings
