Jaime got scooter from me when he was little over a year old on a trade / trial for a roan horse named lasso we agreed on a 30 day trial in Which she had said she’d been messed over in the past on horse deals so she’d like to hold his application to aqha just in case I tried keeping her horse without consent I agreed it would only be fair since she told me she paid 15,000$ for said roan horse and I had only paid 5000$ for my colt so it was only fair we shook hands and signed a hand written summary of the agreement . After two weeks he was too extreme of an issue for me to handle with bucking and kicking the farrier , I’d consider that a danger and the owner of my boarding facility didn’t want him on property due to insurance reasons . I contacted Jaime to tell her it wasn’t working out and that I’d like to come get scooter. Jaime was irate I even contacted her wanting to come get him . She offered to purchase scooter from me for 4,000$ I denied the offer and said I’d gladly take 7,000$ but either way she needs to take the roan gelding back , she did not like my price to purchase scooter so she was getting irritated being foul . She eventually agreed I could come get him . I loaded the roan gelding drove to her house . I got to the house and she had blocked my number after I had said I arrived and kept continuously knocking on her property gate . I yelled I was calling the police and I did . An officer arrived approximately 30 minutes later spoke with me looked over all the exchanged messages between the both of us then went and spoke with Jaime who still refused to come speak with me or take her gelding back .
The cop came back and informed me he couldn’t make her take the horse of hers back or give me mine so it’s a civil issue . He even told me I could tie the roan to the gate and leave him there but I simply wasn’t going to let her have both and me be out everything. I eventually sold the gelding to someone who I thought could handle him but apparently he had kept being passed around to multiple people and he eventually ended up in the hands of Lynn countryman to find out from an ad on Craigslist . Please be weary when dealing with jaime Carrie . She won’t even give me her address or anything to receive court papers for a date to resolve this issue . She has acted in the most inappropriate manner possible being foul mouthed and immature continuously after her recently contacting me .
My experience with this Lady was horrible, I contacted her to look at a horse she had posted on Facebook. I should of went with my gut feeling as she was very unprofessional, but i was very interested in the horse so I made appointment to see him. I drove several hours to see him, as soon as I got there, there were undesirable people hanging out front (I locked my car). It took her several minutes to come greet me, She took me back to where the horse was already tied up and looked sweaty, I addressed my feelings she became very rude.
She tacked up the horse and started riding him, she was very harsh on his mouth, pulling and jerking, I asked her if I could get a vet check on him if I was to purchase him, she stated NO and became very rude. I told her this would not work for me, she told me to leave and get off her property with a few choice words. I started walking back to my car, as I was walking back I saw several horses that had no feed and water bucket's empty. Her facility was not very clean. I should have followed my gut feelings. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone. The way she treats her horses and people is unacceptable.
