I went to this shop for a simple evap and recharge job for my ac. This guy did electeical work due to water in my tail light stating this was why my ac wasnt working. That i need to replace a tailight. Had my car a full day. Next morning says car ac is working we had to replace an ac switch. I get the bill its 700+ i told the scam artist John. Are you crazy. I didnt approve any electrical work nor did you ever provide me with prices for this unapproved wk and labor. Also i asked for all my old ac parts. I got the filters but not the ac switch. John tells me the company he orders from keeps it as a core charge. Its a piece that is about an inch and a half long. There is no core. So when i call him out on why are you charging me 81 for a piece you supposedly got a 30+ dollar credit on? He then knocks 60 off my bill. Guys is a chronic liar and scam artist. So i got my car bk without my tail light which he charged me to clean and drain and refused to put it bk on until a new one was bought to replace. I buy a used tailight. He says its defective and says he will not honor the 1 year warranty which i had him write on my bill and sign. This guy is the biggest con artist. I took my car to Audi and another shop. They both state my tailight had nothing to do with my AC. I confronted John. With this he stated that work has been done. So filing a malpractice lawsuit against him. I have recording and everything. Due to his electrical tampering my cd changer and center console no longer works and he is unwilling to fix. DoNot Trust this man or shop. He will run you up and charge all types of bogus charges. I plan to put a stop to shotty business men like this. He will ask you where you work in order to see if you can afford the raping he is about to do to you. Beware. Stay away. He makes honest mechanics look bad. Guy is dilusional and senile. Forgets everything. Quote you 4 different prices within minutes. He is not even BBB certified.
We were so displeased with the being lied and deceived; the charges and service we received by Jax Auto Mart were criminal. The owner JOHN HEDQUIST came right out and said; "even though we were lied to and charged $150.00 extra for a service that wasn't provided; we were not getting any compensation."
The Jax-Auto-Mart manager (Nathan) blatantly lied saying that a Dodge Dakota's A.C. resistor required removal of the dash board to install; hence the $150.00 labor charge. Come to find out; it does NOT. The one they installed went bad very quickly and we took the truck back; this time Jax-Auto-Mart said the A.C. blower motor was bad and it would cost another $300.00! We took it to another mechanic (Wilson Auto Repair) they installed a new resistor for $17.00. When I questioned the new mechanic why so cheap; he showed me and explained that I was ripped off originally; the dash does NOT have to come off. The resistor plugs in under the glove box in about 1 minute.
They are very high pressure scammers. DO NOT TRUST THEM!
