I purchased a subscription to a coffee product from them, however, I later decided to cancel that subscription. The only way to contact them is via email, which they will not respond. They continue to charge my credit card for the monthly fee.
I ordered this coffee product on Sun 11/28/2021 8:47 PM. Javy Coffee LLC was running a Black Friday sale in which they were offering a 50% off sale for their "Subscription Service". Ten days after I purchased the product and heard nothing from them, I cancelled my order as it seemed like the right and fair thing to do since they don't appear to return messages to paying customers about their orders in a timely manner. I told them that if they are going to run a Black Friday sale, they should be in a position to be able to fill those orders that people, like myself, paid hard earned money for.
I received a response three days after my cancellation attempt that stated "I do apologize for the inconvenience caused by the delay of your order. A refund request has been forwarded to our finance team. We expect the refund to be authorized within 1-2 business days."
Three days later I received this from Javy: "Javy Coffee Sun 12/12/2021 6:08 AM It looks like your order has already processed or shipped from our warehouse; therefore, I am unable to make any changes or refund it at this time."
They told me "You can simply refuse the package upon delivery, and once we receive the order back, we would be in a position to refund it. If the order gets delivered and you are not available to collect it, please write back to us so we can send you a return label." I received said package three weeks after the order date. My subscription was set to renew in one week. They say that they cancelled my subscription, but based on my experience and the reviews that I'm seeing all over the internet, they probably won't do what they say. I have the cancellation approval in writing more than once, but I don't trust that they are being truthful. You can find others with my story on the BBB website. This is their mode of operation. It's predatory.
The return label that they are mentioning is a Self Paid return label. They offer a money back guarantee, but in such a way as to discourage the customer from actually following through on the return. They don't answer emails in a timely manner and they set the customer up for failure based on their procedures. To be clear, the procedures in place are meant to bully a customer into keeping the product and perhaps even staying with the company. (This is especially true for people not in the United States because of customs, duties, VAT's, etc.)
It feels as if this company is bullying people into keeping something that they didn't want after falling for false promises, something that didn't meet their expectations based on what the company said and/or a product that they simply didn't like. (Many people simply don't like the product/Javy Coffee LLC hides negative reviews from their customers on their website) They tried to force me into a subscription service in which the product doesn't get sent out in a timely fashion. There are many reviews on the Better Business Bureaus website that reference exactly what I'm speaking about here.
And then, on top of that, I'm now being threatened with lawyers for posting my reviews online. The general service manager attempted to hurt me on a personal level and brought my girlfriend into the conversation, how she left me because I didn't get my Javy Coffee in time. It's been a truly terrible experience. My experience with Javy Coffee LLC has been exponentially unprofessional and upsetting.
This company is acting with ill intention and blatently scamming myself and many others every day. There is much proof about what I'm saying if you look. It's not hard to find. I have contacted the FTC with this information.
My goal here is to be an advocate for others out there that are experiencing the same or something similar as myself in regards to their experience with Javy Coffee. I want the community to know. I want the powers that be to look into this, and, to protect us from these predators. Make an example out of them. And, I want my money back.
