I had a 2002 John Deere 310G Backhoe delivered to Janson Equipment Co. on July,14 2021 to make some repairs. My initial contact was the service manager at that time a man named Kyle (last name unknown) we originally spoke on the phone about repairs on 07/14/21.

Kyle called on 07/19/21 with a quote. I came in to speak with Kyle in person on 07/19/21 where we both walked around the backhoe and went over the repairs needed on the John Deere 310G backhoe, the list we compiled was as follows:

1) Never recieved a written quote.

2) Right side out rigger repair - was completed

3) Fluid Changes: Oils, Coolant - May have been done but Hydraulic oil 5 Gal. low and most all grease ports were dry.

4) Repair ignition switch - Done

5) Loader bucket blade to be flipped or replaced - Not done

6) Several Hydraulic lines were to be replaced - Not done

7) New seat cover done - but requested aftermarket to save on cost - got name brand.

After speaking with Kyle he quoted me 3 weeks and $4000.00 give or take a couple hundred at which point I was told a quote would be written and sent via e-mail and never was. After not hearing back after 4 weeks I called and left a message with whom ever answered the phone, I received no call back after another 2 weeks I went in to find a new service manager had taken over (name unknown) and none of the repairs had been completed claiming he had no knowledge of what repairs were to be done, so again we walked around the backhoe going over the repairs I had requested and mentioned the papers Kyle and I had signed, he said sounds good we will get right on it.

Several weeks later I stop in to check on the progress and an eta for completion, now there is yet a new service manager Teresa Landenberger and once again am told no one knows anything about the repairs and she didn't want to even leave the seat in her office to go over the repairs but went over them verbally. Now finally I get a call telling me my Backhoe is completed and ready to be picked up, 3 1/2+ months after dropping it off and my Bill originally quoted to be around $4000.00 is now $6840.86 and during all this time no ever called about making any other repairs or services to account for the extra $2840. 86.

When I inquired they told me there was about $3000.00 in electrical repairs done, the battery had about 2-3 inches of caked dirt/mud on top and surrounding, who does electrical repairs and never touches a battery? I do see in the statement that they replaced a solenoid, but then why did I have to put in a new Solenoid and do rewiring after it was delivered?

When I spoke with Service Manager Teresa Landenberger about my frustration with the lack of communication for her department and I didn't agree with the final bill due to the original quote and the only quote I received she said that she wasn't service manager at that time and seems all paperwork for the service had been lost before she took over and there for she is not obligated to honor the original quote.

I have since shown this bill to other Ag Equipment repair businesses along with my repair requests, the original quote and they have all told me that this has been completely mishandled and over charged.
