I originally met Jamie Stanford at the Palm Beach Home Show in 2017 and saw his ad on HOUZZ.com. He came to my home for a kitchen remodel appointment. I went to his showroom in Riviera Beach, FL and gave him a deposit for almost $13,000. He took my husband and I to Spazio Marble to select quartz slabs the same day. The first date to supposedly complete my kitchen was 10/20/17. The kitchen project didn't start.
He brought a general contractor, Leonard, to my home to "remeasure". Mr. Stanford said the cabinets arrived to his showroom in the wrong sizes. Thankgiving and Christmas came and went. On 12/26/17 I requested a refund in full. Mr. Stanford said he couldn't pay me back; that there was simply no money. He had me contact the "Pharus Group" who he stated were his financial and business managers. I spoke to Chris who told me that I was more likely to get my job completed than my money back. He told me to give Mr. Stanford more time... which I again did.
The next start date I was given was 2/6/18. The kitchen project did not start and the date came and went. Mr. Stanford had said my cabinets weren't ready. Then, for the third time, I was given a start date of 3/27/18 after he said he had met with Chris and Leonard to verify his project schedule. There was no call or confirmation of any work to begin on 3/26/18. I called Mr. Stanford who said he wasn't going to begin my kitchen. I again asked for my money to be refunded and again, he stated he was not in a position to pay me and he didn't have the funds.
From 3/27/18- today 4/6/18, I have contacted Spazio Marble who said the quartz I had chosen was sold weeks ago as it was never purchased to begin with. The "business manager" named, Chris, isn't returning my calls. Mr. Stanford admits he is not licensed, says that no cabinets ever existed and is asking me to please not ruin his business. He states he is a Christian by faith and wouldn't be able to live with himself if he didn't pay me back and would like to possibly make payments to me. However, I have given "deadlines" for him to provide me with a cashier's check but, so far, no payment has been made.
He has given me no choice due to his manipulation, fraud and deceit. I have contacted HOUZZ.com, the BBB, the Department of Business and Regulation, the Citizen Services at the Attorney General's office, a lawyer, and other business affiliates of Mr. Stanford to file complaints.
Jamie doubled the estimate after he took my deposit check of $1835.00. I requested my deposit returned on 11/08/2017 and 3 weeks later he has not returned it. Do not give him any money!!!
