The individual, james junior lee is scammed my entire family by paying with 'echecks' on paypal. He seemed like a really nice guy asking for favors because he was in need of some money. He asked for the money upfront in bitcoin and paid with an echeck.
He provided 3 pictures:
1) his id,
2) his selfie holding id,
3) a handwritten note saying he made the paypal transaction See attached images).
He also sent me his phone number: 516-587-1640 which i have confirmed he owns. So we felt secure.
We had no idea that the echeck would not be available right away, so a few days later his bank declined the payment. When i contacted james junior lee about the declined payment. He said:
"you're selling bitcoin to a new york resident. You need a bit license for that." from his email "[email protected]"
What the heck! we thought we were doing a nice thing for this guy!
