I contacted the jaguar dealership on dupont in toronto to get a replacement starter motor for a jaguar sedan and was quoted over $700 and was required to give them the old starter, on top. I was also told that the motor they were selling was a remanufactured unit.
Instead, the vehicle was taken to the west york dealership. They did an excellent job to get the motor rebuilt by a specialist for about $250 plus 1 hour of labour. It is my opinion that the price asked by the jaguar dealer is excessive and a ripoff.
