Bought home 4 yrs ago. Back door leaked when it rained. Floor got wet. Sent some one to fix it all they did was stick some kind of weather stripping on bottom corners. Door still leaked. Sent another one came out, they adjusted door. It still leaked. Came back out and did something else and said it was all fixed. Noticed later on that the flooring had rotted. They sent some one else. Their fix was to cut my flooring and fix it from the inside. The new floor was not even. Now my flooring is coming up and the floor has rotted again. All the sp called fixes i feel were poorly done. They also wanted me to pay 100 dollars for a thing that sould be warrented do to the fact that this has been an issue since i received the home. I dp know i would not recommend them to any one do to the poor job of fixing the root of the problems.

We purchased a new Jacobsen Home from Citrus Homes Meadowood Homes, Bradenton, in December 2015. On June 1, 2016 we took possession. After a brief walk through with our salesman, Shane Robson-smith, we were given the keys to the home.

As we pointed out a few obvious issues Shane suggested we wait at least six months before submitting our punch list. This six month waiting period was later confirmed in an email from the customer service manager, Cara Dolan. This waiting period would allow time for the home to settle and any issues that needed to be addressed would have surfaced in that period of time.

In late spring of 2017 our community terminated sales of Jacobsen Homes. Palm Harbor

Homes came on board to be constructed on the remaining lots, as they were sold.

Some issues have been corrected and others ignored by the new service manager at Citrus Homes, Gregory Fitzgerald and their sub-contractor, Burns Custom Design of Lakeland.

On October 20th of 2017 we received an email from Gregory assuring us the marriage line issue would be corrected, but we were not considered a priority.

An earlier attempt to cover the marriage line was unsuccessful as the Burn’s serviceman not only used the wrong brand of paint, but also the wrong color of paint. Paint was then applied to wet texturing. This application resulted in a obvious mismatch to the original ceiling paint. Several other issues which were previously submitted to Burn’s, according

to Gregory of Citrus Homes, have never been addressed. Lisa Joiner, from Burn’s, notified us my email that Burn’s did not have time for us on their schedule.

To add to our frustration, in a telephone conversation with Jennifer, at Jacobsen Homes in Safety Harbor, we were informed that Jacobsen could not be responsible for the warped cabinet doors they had originally installed.

In February of this year, 2018, the owner of Citrus Homes, Mark Malanowicz, and staff were given the opportunity to dispute the complaint we had filed with the Manatee Chamber of Commerce / Better Business Council , but apparently elected not to respond.

The non-response resulted in a negative review being recorded for Citrus Homes.

Since filing our complaint with the BBB, Citrus Homes will not respond to our request for further updates on repairs.

Following up on a telephone conversation of 3/20/2018, initiated by Shannon Griffin of Jacobsen Homes, we received a email on April 5th from Shannon that the service manager

had determined that the punch list had been completed and no further repairs would be

considered And that the ceiling seam tape that was now starting to peel, as a result of the attempted marriage line repair, was considered cosmetic and not covered by their warranty.

On April 12, 2018 a court hearing date of 4/25 was scheduled by the Citizens Dispute Settlement Program of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit to mediate our complaints against Jacobsen Homes & Citrus Homes Meadowood Homes of Florida. On April 24th Jacobsen/Citrus Homes declined to participate.

In good faith, we ordered a new Jacobsen Home from Citrus Homes Meadowood Homes of Florida. We would expect, at the least, the quality and appearance of the model home from which we selected our floor plan.

We just got our new house we haven't even sign our last closing yet .we did a walk though and we was shock on how our new house look . In one room there at least 50 things that's wrong. The whole house at least well over a 100 things that mess up from outside facial board to the windows frame to the cabinets it look like they just throw it together. They keep saying they will come back and fix it later but I don't think it's right for us to gave them all their money and they gave us a broken house instead a fix house. I understand that their always something needs fixing but not like this. We have pictures of everything that's wrong and I would be glad to show to anyone to see how bad it is. We don't know what to do we have to move out where we renting now by the 28th of this month but I just can't bare how our house look. And them not fixing it till years done the road
