Jackson has failed to pay death benefits on an annuity. I am the 100% primary beneficiary of this annuity. Jackson revoked me and said they would not pay without an AL Court Order which was difficult as I live in NC. Policy owner lived in AL. I hire an attorney in AL at 20% if we settle our of Court. The attorney provides them the law and Jackson files Interpleader in NC. I now know they did this as they can get a $6000 fee in NC whereas in AL they couldn't but my attorney thought it was for my convenience. So I had to get an attorney in NC. This has been dragging on for 6 months and now my attorney says she'll lower her fee from 33 1/3% to 33% if we offer Jackson $1000 which would be a good deal as it's customary for Jackson to receive $6000 in attorney fees.
Retainer Agreement states I am only responsible for 20% attorney fees if settled before trial. I haven't signed anything with Jackson. There is no trial here. What attorney lowers their fee so that an Insurance Company can collect fees because they refused to pay a claim? This is going from bad to worse. I can't for the life of me, pay attorney fees to Jackson for a death benefit that should have been paid 6 months ago. And now I can't trust my attorney who has given me two options to pay Jackson's fees or she warns this could go on indefinitely. I'm filing report on her next if this doesn't resolve. I believe Jackson should pay my attorney fees as they instigated this whole thing. A strong attorney would have filed action against them long ago.
On 06-15-1999 I purchased a $100.000. Life insurance policy from “Midland Life Insurance Co.” and there mailing address for premium payment and notification of claim was “Insurance Administration Services. P.O. Box 96 Minneapolis, MN 55440-9844” I started mailing my premium payment check to this address every month on time. As of December-31-2012 “Jackson National Life Insurance Company” took over and assumed responsibility for my policy. On 03-27-2017 I was told by “Jackson National Life Insurance Company” that my Policy, my Social Security Number, and my Birth Date do not exist in there system, and they could not answer any further questions and yet they have been taking automatically $92.00 a month from my checking account all these years. After 17 years of paying my monthly premiums on time, I just found out that I am not insured at all. I don’t know where my money went and what to do and what are my legal rights. Again The name of the Insurance Co. is: Jackson National Life Insurance Company. I have all the documents that supports my claim. I desperately need Help.
My mother purchased a life insurance policy thru Reassure which was mergered with Jackson Nation Life Insurance Co. She made me the owner of the policy and I changed the beneficiary to myself as my step-father had passed away and he was the beneficiary. My mother signed the change in policy. She has not passed away and I file a claim. They keep giving me new fax numbers and different addresses. They asked me to retract my claim as I am not the beneficiary. I have copies of all my requests. It has been over 4 weeks and no one will help me. I reported them to the Insurance Board in Austin, TX and sent all the copies of the request for changes on the policy. It is a small policy but will pay for the funeral that I already paid for.
They are not being co-operative and i think they are just brushing me off so they can keep the money, but I an going to continue to purse until they fulfill their part of the claim. I did not pay on a policy all these years for them to just ignore me. They have a large group of leaders on their site that are probably getting rich on their policy holder.
