I hired power jack foundation repair Now jack power) to repair my foundation several years ago and purchased the lifetime warranty - this was a huge selling point in my decision to hire them.
After the first installation and 8 grand, i needed repairs and it was recommended for addiitional piers At my expense) and i agreed to that as it would essentially cover my entire home after the new additions.
I have had constant issues year after year and many repairs of which always came with a caveat such as messy dirt work and leftover dirt, broken deck boards from pulling them which often required new boards which caused a paint issue as the paint has faded on rest of deck, moved plants or bushes which essentially meant they died...I lived with it and cleaned up myself and replanted or painted. One repair on the front porch, they busted out the concrete porch to once again...Add another pier and left the hole open for a week before they finally sent a 5 dollar bag of concrete and made sloppy mess My front porch keep in mind)...Again..Lived with it.
Windows on 2 sides of the house have not opened in years as i am not sure i can get them shut and locked again. There are cracks in walls/ceilings and tiles, the roof line separating from rafters in attic so i have spent over 10 grand in foundation repairs yet another 4-5 grand fixing cracks, replacing tiles, paint, dirt, deck replacement, etc...And i lived with it.
Told during one of my many repairs that i should get someone out to adjust my doors instead of them adjusting their piers. Their foreman told me this, and yes, i know the foreman at this point after so many visits so i adjusted the doors.
I have an area in the kitchen that needed adjusting and after they dug it up and made a mess and destroyed the landscape and then said they could not adjust these particular piers as the frig water line was in the way...Which sounds reasonable except they had no issue digging it up the first time upon initial installation and charging me for the 2 original piers yet can't dig them up for repairs? Guess what, i lived with it and adjusted my doors yet again.
Well now, i have called repeatedly for weeks for repairs only to find out they changed names to avoid warranty work. No response to any calls after at minimum - 10 messages. I paid for a lifetime warranty. The geniuses changed the name from power jack to jack power...Just to avoid honoring the lifetime warranty that was their key selling point.
I owned an irrigation company for years and have a professional sprinkler system, gutters tied into drains, and an incredible yard Means heavy watering for foundation which they recommended) which i am only mentioning to show that there are zero drainage issues, or lack of watering or any reason on the homeowners side for the many piers i paid them for to fail and sink or not hold properly.
The complaints on google, bbb and other sites all state the same issues of no response to warranty work and shoddy work. Some are recent which makes it obvious this company is still doing the same thing.
Currently, my back door is hell to open and close, i am facing a pricy bill to have my roof line secured back to rafters, have the windows that won't open, and have white spackle to fill the cracks all over the living room which now means i have to repaint the entire living room as the paint is older, and a gap that creates a nice chill in the winter and sucks the ac out in summer under the door and looks as if i will have to pay a new foundation company to come stabilize the houst that i thought a lifetime warranty would cover.
