I checked out the company on better business bureau and they are great!. Excellent service and professionalism. The best I have dealt with to date. I really appreciate great service!
This is written notification of the unprofessionalism displayed by JD Homes and the so-called Landlord of the property at 5943 Crescent Ridge Court Lithonia, GA 30058 named Monica Cotton.
First off I’d like to point out that the issues I’ve had with the property were noted on the initial walk through and reiterated by email from myself to Shanae whose last name I don’t have but her email address is [email protected]
I’d also like to point out that when I moved into the property on June 15th 2015, the water company had no account for the property which is required in Dekalb county by the home owner before a tenant can put water service in their name. I was living in the house for a week before I could have water turned on because I had to wait on JD homes and Monica Cotton to set up an account with the water company. This is information I would expect a property management company who already deals with Dekalb county to know up front. I was new to the State of Georgia and therefore did not know this. But when I initially asked JD homes to set up an account with Dekalb watershed they told me to do it myself which I could not do.
To date most of the items on the list I provided to JD Homes have not been fixed. In fact, when I told JD Homes in the first month of occupancy that I was seeing roaches and other insects periodically, they told me to have the property exterminated myself because they didn’t know if I brought the roaches in or not. I even offered to get a letter from the landlord where I had just moved from stating that no roaches were in their property as they moved into the house immediately after I moved out. JD Homes was not interested in receiving such a letter and as a result I still see roaches from time to time (about one every three to four days).
Another thing that I found interesting about the relationship between JD Homes and the home owner is that JD Homes has a Monica Redding listed as an employee and Monica Cotton who is supposed to be home owner is in fact Monica Redding.
