We contacted J B West to replace our roof. Jeff came out to give us a estimate and said we needed all new shingles and sheeting and that there was mold on the sheeting. He said the insulation needed replaced also. The estimate was $10,000. We trusted him and didn't hesitate to have him get started. The night they did the roof I came home and checked out his work and noticed the insulation was still up there and didn't get removed. I contacted Jeff and he assured me the bad insulation was removed. Approximately a year later we had water leaking in our bathroom and contacted them. They informed me intake on the roof wasn't properly vented and there was again moisture in the attic and leaking down the bathroom fan. The bathroom fan was never vented outside the roof either just into the attic. They quoted me a price to remove the soffits and properly vent them. I asked Jeff why he never mentioned that the roof wasn't vented properly when they installed it and he said he wasn't here to see it and was relying on his Forman. I feel an expert in the roofing industry should've known it wasn't properly vented and should've informed me then not a year later and after there's mold on my $10,000 roof. They will not take any responsibility for this problem. I as a homeowner had no idea how the roof was supposed to be vented and was relying on a professional to inform me and do the job correctly but seems I didn't choose a professional at all.
