Ivy's Transmission Reviews

  • Apr 12, 2019

Run far, Run fast... Had a problem with my Transmission, Sal seemed confident he could fix the problem, price was right, with a 1 year warranty, paid almost $1700 and job was done in 2 days, then the problems began the very next day (Hey stuff happens I understand) Call Sal (the owner) he said they will go away after driving a while, they did not, car died on freeway had car towed in at my expense.

When I called to see if it was ready he was arrogant and obnoxious said he would call when it was ready but I wouldn't hear from him. 8 days passed he told me to pick it up, when I asked what he found was wrong he said NOTHING was wrong with it!!! 1

0 miles later it was slipping and jerking... he would lie to me an tell me it was "on the rack" not knowing I was in the parking lot looking at it parked outside... This is the third time it's been in to the shop in the last month the most reccent it sat for 2 days outside.

Finally Sal calls me and sez it won't start it's out of gas (hmm that's funny I drove it in) I drive to the shop with a can of gas but before I do anything I thought I would try to start it... Started right up just like normal... (What's wrong with this guy?)

Again he tells me he'll call me when he knows something but since it's been almost a month I'm trying to get a time from him.... He finally tells me he'll call me and let me know what's up in 2 days.... No call (again) So I call him.

He goes off like I'm inconvienencing him telling me he knows his job and how he's been in business for over thirty years.... Yet apparently he can't start the car or fix the transmission after a month (Wow I'm telling you it was Twilight Zone weird) Listen I don't want to waste your time with a huge rant, suffice it to say... Sibino Lopez Gonzales owner of Ivy's Transmissions is Incompetitent, Obnoxious and Dishonest!
