Honestly, If I was savvy enough (and I usually am) to have searched on-line first at Ripoff.com -- I would have saved myself time, money and aggravation in regards to ISN WORKS! They prey on Public Speakers, newbie and pro -- and offer them their marketing services.
After I willingly paid $600 to Jeanne at ISN Works, part of our agreement was for a phone and post card campaign to companies and associations that would hire me as a speaker. Part of the agreement was to provide me PROOF of mailing along with contact info, addresses e-mail addresses that I could do my own follow up on.
I asked Jeanne, (Director of Marketing) my contact person, after many months for them, and each time she said, "I e-mailed you a spread sheet - did you not get it?" Honestly, how many times can you keep using that lame excuse? Never received any leads --spread sheets etc. Why? Because no work was done except the re-design of my two-sheet (which was done in house and did not cost them a a dime to produce.)
Again, I never, ever received any proof that any of my marketing materials were mailed out. I was warned by other National Speaker Association Speakers who were burned by them. (After the fact, of course.) I guess, I learned the hard way. They will promise and tell you everything you want to hear -- to get you off the phone.
There have been many complaints about them with the Better Business Bureau. In fact, I've filed a complaint. I also contacted the Department of Consumer Affairs and they told me that ISN Works basically ignored the complaint and are now on a Do NOT DO Business With account. I have another letter out to the Tenn. Attorney General -- to see what is going on with company. Honestly, ISN works is bad news. Just read all the Rip-OFF Complaints about them.
If you have no spread sheets, if you had done the work (as agreed) then a company should prove it and give it to the buyer (me.) They had not and will not. If you are a Public Speaker, you are hereby warned to stay away from ISN Works aka The Innvoators Group -- unless of course, you need a tax write off for a poor business decision.
