We made last minute reservation at Ireland Rustic Lodges one hour before arrival. We arrived and checked in at the desk and paid with credit card. When we got to the stairway leading up to the room it was filthy and torn. This was a clue of things to come. Being the last room available we took a look . There were four of us, two couples. The room was a condo and fit our needs according to the hotel desk. When we walked into the room we were highly disappointed. It was filthy with stains on the sofas and floor. You wouldn't dare walk barefoot on it or sit down. We discovered animal stains throughout the condo. We couldn't stay there When we went back to the desk they wouldn't refund our money. They offered 30 dollars off the 200 dollar room charge. We wouldn't stay if it was free. We found a motel 6 that was far better in town. Later after dinner decided to cruise by the room at Ireland's rustic lodges and saw someone in the room closing curtains. And turning off the lights. We think they rented the room out. Their no vacancy sign was on. This place is a filthy ripoff.
We were guests at Ireland's Lodges on July 21, 2016. When we checked out we left behind an Ipod and a red small portable blue-tooth speaker. Within a couple of hours after checking out, we contacted the hotel and told them about the Ipod and speaker left behind. The front desk clerk said she would look into it.
The next morning we called back and she informed us that the staff found the items and she had them in her possession. She took our credit card information and our home address and said she would mail the items back to us on Monday, July 25, 2016.
It is now August 19, 2016 and we have attempted numerous times to speak with someone at Ireland's as we have not received our Ipod and speaker. The front desk clerks all say they know nothing about this matter. We have asked for the name of the manager or supervisor and the clerk, Robin, stated she will be fired if she gives out that information and she has 2 children to support. Other clerks, Shannery and Linda also have refused to provide any information to us and said they can only take a message for the manager.
As Ireland's had possession of our items and they were in their control, they are responsible for them. It is clear that someone at Ireland's has stolen our property. I understand this is not a new problem for Ireland's Rustic Lodges.
