Ipod Battery Depot Reviews
No one to answer the phone during normal business hours
I also tried to contact them by phone during normal business hours several times on Tuesday 8-26-19 either disconnected or did not answer, now I am glad did not send them any money after reading all these reviews.
I purchased a battery and service to have the battery installed. They sent me a box to send my iPod 5th generation 64gb. I took my device to Apple to have them evaluate it and give me a price to replace the battery. Their price was more than $20 more so I told them I’d have it done elsewhere. At their suggestion I disabled my “find my phone” feature and did a factory reset to erase all personal information. I took pictures of my device, packed it up and shipped it. I got an email from battery depo that they received my iPod, but their description was not of my device. I emailed them with photos of my device. I emailed a dozen more times, I called and left a dozen messages. I submitted support forms on their website but I’ve never heard back. My iPod is valued at $300 and I have no idea if they ever plan on doing the work I paid for or returning my device
I Google searched ipod battery install service which led me to ipodbatterydepot.com site. Unfortunately I did not Google search the reputation of this site. Instead I paid for battery install service plus shipping and waited for the shipping package to arrive. The package never arrived and I called many times and tried to submit trouble tickets. No one ever responds to inquiries. If you dial 888-826-2690 you will be sent to voicemail, and that is what you are left with endless unanswered inquiries. Fortunately I did not lose my ipod to these scoundrels but I am out $50.99. I am going to focus on having Google remove their ad to end this scam site.
I ordered an iPod battery from iPod Battery Depot on line. Cost of battery and shipping was just under $24.00 and came with an advertised lifetime guarantee and 60-day return policy. I took the battery to an iPod retailer to have it professionally installed. The IT specialist advised that the battery was completely dead and would not take a charge. I have attempted to contact iPod Battery Depot in order to obtain return instructions. However, the number provided on-line is answered with a recording and the only option provided is to leave a message. Contrary to information at www.ipodbatterydepot.com, you cannot speak with a "consultant" at the number provided. I have left multiple messages, but have not been contacted.
