Received a call from Allison stated she was calling from the International Nurses Assoc., explained the advantages of joining and at the end of the call stared it would be 618.00 , I ended up giving her info, which is not like me at all, and later thought about how ridiculous this was. Please warn the nurses of this rip off

Over six months ago a representative from this organization called to congratuate me on my nursing career, and told me all about this incredible publication that I would be featured in. Thought it was some kind of honorable thing, but then I was offered price points for full, half, and quarter page exposure. I thought, you gotta be kidding me.

The sales person then offered to include me for free online as a sponsored member, with a month of free membership, which included access to journal publications and jobs. Sounded nice, so I agreed and provided all my information. Securing it with a credit card was my mistake.

After two months, I had clearly forgotten about this, my credit card started being charged $34.95. I finished my bachelor's classes, got a new job, moved across the country, and life generally got in the way before I noticed my credit card bill was being charged. November, December, January, Feburary, March, all went by until I finally noticed the pending April transaction and contacted the organization immediately.

Despite having never logged into their website or utilized any of the unknown membership "benefits," the rep I spoke with refused to refund the dues. I argued that I never signed anything, never received anything in the mail, never even knew I was a member... but the rep didn't have any sympathy. I asked to speak with a manager and the truth came out: I was speaking with the organization Director! Refunding my money would have meant that it wouldn't have lined HER pocket!!!

If I had known that other nurses had been sucked in by these theiving con-artists, I would have hung up on them as soon as they called me six months ago. What a SCAM!! I am going to have to rely on my bank to reverse the transactions.

I was contacted by this organization, saying that they have picked my name as one of the best nurses. I went through my resume with them, with all the recognitions that I got in the past. I was persuaded to receive their award with numerous benefits to follow. I gave the lady my card information, and they immediately took over $600 from my account.

I have recieved multiple phone calls requesting additional payments. I have attempted to cancel my membership to no avail. Please go after them.

This company charged my mother more than $800.00 to "Join" their organization and be recognized as a great nurse. She is a great nurse already and this is just a SCAM. Ddo not send any money to this company. If you have already given them your contact info, please call your bank. Call your state Attorney General. I think a class action lawsuit is in order. DO NOT join this company and the ANA and other real nurses associations should condemn this false association.

International Nurses Association or International Association of Nurses

I received a call stating that my name had been by an employer, a coworker or a patient for excellence in Nursing. Said they were going to publish my biography in their mag and my employers web site. Now, what nurse wouldn't be excited about that!? They really have a good scam going. They really know how to suck you in. Then they tell me that because of my 'excellence', that I qualify to join their platinum membership. ONLY $675 now and then ONLY $59 a month. Luckily I didn't give them any CC numbers or anything, but I did give them my work history and present employer name and address. That bothers me. Beware of these scumbags. I don't know why they haven't been shut down yet

I received a phone call after filling out application to join the association on Facebook. The woman on the voice mail explain how I had been accepted. This is a great honor, according to her. She just needed a few more questions answered before she could send it to editing. I returned the phone call, did not speak to the same person that left a message but spoke with another woman. She went on to explain that I obviously am a leader in Nursing and in my area and must be an outstanding LPN to be accepted. She asked me some personal questions about my nursing carrer to put into my 'bio' that was going to be placed in the association list as a new member.

She then went to explained how I can get access to all types of different nurses and healthcare providers around the world all the different discounts that I would receive and so on. Then she starts to talk about the one-time membership fee. I could be diamond and that was I think five or six hundred dollars! She did not say it that way, she said 586 so if I had not asked is that hundred or five dollars? She then clarified, but would have charged me 586. I highly doubt they did any checking on my background as a nurse, basically you are paying to be listed in this book. I don't understand how it can be such an achievement and honor when anybody can join as long as they're willing to pay 5 to $600. In my opinion this is a total rip-off no association should have that large of a fee, save your money find a different Association.

I spent more than half an hour talking to Michelle, she never mention anything about the payment. It is huge amount of money, when I bargained she told me to pay $618.95. Becase it is big amount I refused and she insisted me to take the membership. Finally I was forced to take it because the money was already gone. I paid that mch money for nothing. They sent me a certificate for the memberdhip and it is valid only upto 2019, for sucah a big amount.

They called to congratulate me on being accepted into their organization , stroked my ego in hopes I would feel like Super Nurse, continued with benefits of being a member. I asked the cost and was told it was over $700.00. She then offered the deferred payment of almost $100.00. Again I declined. She said I could be a member for no fee. At first I said ok. Then I read reviews & complaints and promptly called back to let her know I was to be removed from any and all publications, not to contact me again . Sound much like the diet pill scams. I do not recall applying to this organization!
