I purchased the flight through gotogate.com and bought $46 of insurance incase they cancelled, luggage protection, etc. And that also seems to be pocketed by gotogate. I suppose i need to file a scamion on them because there are pending class action lawsuits against them on a fb group.
I contacted interjet and was told to wait until the calendar opens, but reports are that they, as volaris are near bankrupt, and meanwhile, i need to get to mexico and had to buy triple price with volaris.
I contacted Internet Airlines to try and change my flight but they refused. I gave them: Date: February 18, 2018 Total Price: $176.78 Flight from Monterrey, Mexico to Houston Texas Although they can view my information they cannot edit it. Due the timing of 4 hours or less it locks you from editing. I requested a manager to see if they could bypass the lock. Representative said it's not allowed. He added, "you can try to file a claim with third party provider that assisted me with tickets." I told the Internet representative that I spent hours speaking with the third party vendor to resolve another flight. Third party vendor said to correct the return flight from Monterrey to Houston flight to call Interjet Airlines. My spouse and I are military veterans & we wanted to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. This is our first vacation that we could take because we didn't earn enough vacation days. Also,both of us saved enough from working night & day shift while attending school.
I had bought tickets to celebrate New Year's Eve at Playa del Carmen. Flight was supposed to be nonstop as we were traveling with 5 children. The airline called us less than 24 hours before our departure time and canceled the flight without offering a reasonable explaination (they cited security readons). They also failed to offer us a suitable replacement option (only alternative was a non direct flight which would turn a 3 hour flight into a 24 hour neverending trip). As a result we had to cancel our hotel reservation after paying a hefty cancellation fee. The airline is refusing to refund the money despite being the party at fault and being asked numerous times to do so. Customer service is non existent. We were looking forward to our vacation but Interjet turned our trip or lack thereof in a nightmare.
