They keep charging me a year after I requested cancellation. I tried Instant Barter and did jobs for barter bucks (no spendable money) but could not find anything to spend the points for that I needed. When I got a 1099 and had to pay taxes on the monopoly money, I called the owner Ana Hawk to cancel services. She did not want to cancel and told me I had to pay to get rid of the points! It was a sizable sum. I told her to just donate them to someone or keep them.
She continued to charge me every month under objection until October when I changed my credit card number. She kept trying every month to take $10, but the credit card company turned it down for five months. Thought I was rid of her. This month (April 2016) Instant Barter somehow got a charge to go through on my NEW credit card for which I intentionally never gave them the number for $111.50. I contacted them and was told they were referring me to their legal department. Sorry, not scared. I have filed a credit card dispute and am trying to get her blocked from ever trying to charge my credit card again.
Evidently, NO doesn't mean no with these folks, and I feel raped. I have reported them as abusive merchants to VISA, and my credit card company is going to dispute any attempt to charge from now on, so maybe they will get the hint that not everyone wants to pay taxes on their funny money.
BEWARE! Don't give them your credit card number!!!
