I used to order from InhousePharmacy when they used to be InHouseDrugStore several years ago, they apparently are no longer a legitimate pharmacy but a scam now.
After I moved, I notified them that my address had changed and then got a very rude call from them accusing me of picking up a RX for someone else. These people aren’t in the US and aren’t familiar with US drug laws, it’s common for a care taker to pick up medication for their patient, however this was NOT even the case and accused me of fraud and took my money.
They don’t take credit cards any more so I had paid by bank transfer and I don’ t have any recourse.
I thought it was a misunderstanding and I had tried to called out to their customer service but they became more accusatory claiming someone else had lived at my new address (obviously since I moved into an existing place I bought). But they made some excuse about how they can only ship to places where one customer lives there and one customer pays for it (which was still my case but they claimed it was not).
I had asked for my money back but they had refused. I looked up the new company InHousePharmacy.vu online and it looks like many other customers have been scammed by them. They won’t send you anything, just take your money now.
InhousePharmacy.vu (formerly InhouseDrugstore.com) was a legit pharmacy specializing in rare and alternative medications not often available in some countries (e.g. US FDA does not approve some cancer treatment meds but does permit lawful international import for personal use only). However, in recent years (I'm not sure how long ago), the New Zealand government (their base of operation) allegidly may have wanted a piece of the cake and have became regulating the company.
Further it appears there is some restructuring of the company beyond my knowledge that uses this excuse to take customers money and not actually send anything. The company no longer accepts credit cards and only wire transfers or personal checks (forms of payment in which you have no recourse) This should be your first sign that this is a scam however the company by using its prior company's reputation to rip off customers may be trying to push its luck. I did try to lawfully buy some meds (lawful in my country) by check, and was given an excuse that the "drug dosage wasn't legal in [New Zealand]" according to some "pharmacist officer" who worked there (even though they were selling it and it's legal in my country).
They claimed they would not send me anything but would refund my money, however they never did after two months. I was able to confirm three other former customers who had been scammed in a similar way by the new company. At no time did they ask for a prescription (even though none was legally needed, we all offered them). I'm not sure how many people have been scammed or when the company was taken over or replaced by the scammers. But the new "pharmacy" isnt legit, beware.
