When they filled in the pool, instead of pulverizing the concrete they kept the deck in large slabs and put the slabs in the pool. The work order guarantees zero settlement.
The escavation left many low and high spots creating serious ponding throughout the yard as well as deep tractor tread ruts in every direction. They semi buried debris including a railroad tie and cords. They plowed into 6+ feet into our neighbors yard behind and pushed dirt into a neighbor on the east and piled the fence and other debris in the neighbors yard on the west . It is not ready for top soil or sod by any means of imagination. They worked on the job for four days and went on to another job. We are unable to contact them. They will not answer their phone or reply to messages or text. The debris is still in the yard and the ground is not ready for sod or grass. They required us to pay in full prior to starting the job.
They need to finish the job by removing the debris, finishing the excavation, and putting top soil down so it is ready for sod. If unable to finish, they need to return half of our money so we can hire someone to finish the job. I fear the pool may settle after planting sod and the zero settlement guarantee not honored. I would like assurance that any settlement will be fixed and the grass be replaced at the same or better quality that we will have planted. The settlement guarantee should apply for at least one year.
