This place and people that you have to deal with are untrustworthy double-dealing humans in my experience. Being an ex staff member, less than a year mind you, I can now speak of the manipulating and high pressured way this organization operates. The CEO will pay cash (undisclosed) bonuses to journalists to make deadlines, even if it means skipping Editorial review for unfinished articles and standing on the shoes of fellow colleagues. They are only a small Corporation, yet pretend to be part of some big Fortune 500, and operate on a tight *** budget - monitoring everything you do. The loser, is the reader of the rubbish they put out - as they leave very unrealistic demands and deadlines and make the quality of the work so poor due to the deadlines and lack of Editorial review that you feel disgraced to work for them.
A former colleague was stalked on LinkedIn because they were too scared the person would tell the media about sexual misconduct, and shotty journalism, bad management and back stabbing. It is all very quiet in there and if anybody annoys the CEO or any of the *** kissers, then they are ousted. It is a disgusting place to work, most people like me only stay for one year and get out of there. I recommend to stay away from their workplace dramas and report them, like I should have done. Now that I'm out of there and back in secure employment, I thank the Lord above for every second I do not have to see any of them or listen to their mudslinging and internal arguments every day.
It is not a professional workplace, which spawnd unprofessional output, and I STRONGLY suggest that the IRS take a close look.
