BEWARE. Joined 9/1/17 and started to contact in regards to canceling in October. Went to the gym twice, both times the gym was closed earlier than the time listed on their website and FB. I contacted via phone, twice for cancellation paperwork. Sent FB message on 10/28, no reply. again 11/1. I received a message back that the cancellation form was being sent. I sent the cancellation forms back to Al on 11/2 at 3:40. Al replied 4:12 stating that we had signed the contract until 9/1/18 and he was unable to process the cancellation at this time and asked for me to advise how he could help. I replied at 5:01 with the info we were provided when we signed up for the gym, and we had begun trying to cancel in October. No reply. The last charge I received was 11/1. I never received another email, call, or charge, so I thought he cancelled and just didn’t care to reply. I received a notice from eFit on 2/2/18 for $119.88 past due card was declining. My card had not changed.

I contacted IF again on 2/16 with the info that I had emailed in Nov., no one replied. Al offered a $30 credit towards shakes etc, and put us on hold for 3 months and would extend our contract by 3 months. I then printed the copy of contract sent to me to find under cancellation details that a $100 fee is due if a contract is canceled before the year ends. When Al replied on 11/2 that contract was not eligible to be canceled, he had a legal obligation per his contract to offer the $100 fee, which we would have paid and put it behind us. But instead, he didn’t, and never replied, and somehow never was able to charge our card again. After back and forth, multiple times, I reached Kim. 2/20 she had spoken to Al and had an agreement. Since he never replied, and I was never offered to cancel in when i had contacted they were not going to charge the $119. The agreement was that we were charged $100 cancellation fee and that the balance was completely cleared, nothing was due any account was canceled.

I requested from Kim to have verification sent in writing via email that cancellation was completed with the $100 and no additional amounts were due, She said she would make sure it was taken care of the next day, 2/21. I still had not received any verification and called IF 2/26 to as I now had a new charge of an additional $134.22. The SAME card they couldn’t charge since November. Spoke to Kim where she said she was “shocked” there was another charge, everything is recorded. Kim let me know on the call that she was checking with eFit because they couldn’t find any record of the charge and verified the $100 charge was all due. She spoke to Ethan in their accounting had me send the statement via email where she says “I want to get to the bottom of this so I can get this taken care of and off your back”. Then I received an email back from Kim at that she was looking into it and asking “the boss about the first charge of $134.82 and planning to respond before she left at 4pm”.

I thanked her again for her help as she had been the only kind person actually trying to help this entire time. Then I receive an email back at 4:15 stating that eFit could not close out the account with a balance due so that would be the last charge along with the $100 I paid as a cancellation. I forwarded this to Al and and called the gym again and Kim answered and told me that Al said “she is not authorized to make any decisions about it and to please deal with Al and to put my info in email and send it to him as she’s not able to change it, fix it, make it better make it go away, and so that reply she just sent me is where it came from. And that she doesn’t have any authorization or control of the situation”. I asked four times if Al was available and to speak to him. I still haven’t heard a word from Al or received a reply to my last two emails. I also spoke to eFit and they didn’t charge me, that IF is charged $134.22 and they shows account has been canceled. My bank is now handling this and has all proof that this has been going on since 10/28 and they have illegally charged my card and lied multiple times. STAY FAR AWAY.
